Thanks for this software!

I just tried a post-2011 Wii Remote with Motion Plus and it worked. (I was surprised; a lot of Wii homebrew doesn't work with it.)

Along with the Wii Remote, I used a black Wii Classic Controller Pro RVL-005(-02) that I bought for $17+tax from GameStop and it worked.

First of all, congratulations for this amazing port.
But you plan to add support to GameCube controller? I want to play this on my original Wii, but I do not have a Classic Controller.

Ok, I bought a Classic Controller and I put all files in USB, but when I try to start the selected IWAD (this occurs with all ports), an error occurs - as you guys can see in the image. Can anyone help me?

Sorry, I don't get that error with this program... others I do sometimes though, but I'm not sure what causes it.

Did you use the directory names as expected? (/apps/wiidoom, /apps/wiiheretic, /apps/wiihexen, /apps/wiistrife)

Yes. I have the same error in all games, except Strife, with start/plays normally, but when you exit, you got the same error. I tested various wad's, but nothing...

(PS: Running via USB).

In what situation do you get errors and what's the game?

I can't think of any right now aside of FCE Ultra. Last night after playing it for a while it gave me one of those errors. I know there were a couple other programs that used to do it non-stop, but it's been a while... about all I've been doing lately is playing Strife. Dunno why though, it's such a horrible port. ;) JOKING!

I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though

    I appreciate the insight!

@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages

It does that when I edit a post.

It inserts a newline in a random spot.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
