Hacking Pandora's Tower Menu Translation (Jap-Eng)

the game is compressed by the famous "gambarion" format (like jump ultimate stars or one piece gigant battle for nds)
the files are compressed in .aar archive, and you need an ALAR tool to extract and repack things
anyway i think inside one of these .aar files will be all the japanese text from the menu in "wii graphic format" maybe in .tga format (bag-map-status ecc.)
i dont think it's only in text format (maybe i'm wrong)

the game text also is compressed, but i already find a way,

and all the subtitles for the GC video cutscene (opening and etc..)

Are there different versions of Alar? Tried opening some archives but all I got was exceptions.

The letters "g" and "y" turn into exclamation marks in the game. I don't know if the font table has to be modified or is there a different hex value for y and g?

It sucks. I guess last year, was the last batch of good wii games. I guess Pandora's Tower will be the last game i beat, then i have to wait months and months before something new comes out. DS makes sense, as support is dropping from everyone on it. But at least they aren't shafting Kirby, Dragon Quest, or Professor Layton.

I'm still worried about The Last Story... we only heard a rumor saying that Sakaguchi confirmed the European release in a interview with a french site...

?? =Equipment (you can add this item to the equipment slots)
?? = Health (your health item like fruit,potion etc)
?? = Material (material to upgrade weapons)
? = Meat\Flesh (for ceres)
?? = Goods (u can buy them at the shop or create by synthesis menu, are only useful for ceres) (bag upgrade)
?? = Broken (are the broken item after battle) you need to repair them at the shop!

right now thx to @Playtendo i just discover that:

If you enable the VIDTV patch in a loader, does it change anything? Also which characters is it able to display? I mean before and after the letters, like:
0x21-0x2f
0x3a-0x3f
0x5b-0x60
0x7b and higher

1. Enabling VIDTV patch changes nothing.
2. Uh... I'm not sure exactly... all I know that those letters that I typed wouldn't work.

they also think Baten Kaitos is from the same development team

when that was made by Monolith Soft/Namco... Pandora Tower is made by Ganbarion + Nintendo...

is the same magazine that said tales of graces out in summer for Wii...

sorry but right now there will be no patch,
there are problems with game font, limitation space and compression

and also make the game font smaller (the japanese font is too big in menu)
