    Yes, actually I would respond int the same way. It's not that I disagree with negativity towards the Switch, it's that someone felt the need to make plaster it on the main page. This could be a positive article praising the unreleased hardware specs and I would still find it dumb to plaster it on the main page.
    You are taking my words out of context.

    Again, it wasn't "plastered" anywhere; it's an opinion piece written by a GBAtemp Reporter.

    Actually it is. It's right there, on the main page, right now. Here's a screenshot

    I don't mind opinion pieces, there's plenty of them on the Temp. But my post has nothing to do with that.

    I meant that it's on the main page for a very valid reason; not that's it's not on the main page at all.

    And my post is still valid as well. I can freely express my opinion on this matter. If he's free to post his opinion on the main page, I am free to find it dumb to be posted on the main page.

    What valid reason is that, exactly?...

    Of course. Don't think for a moment that I believe that you shouldn't be allowed to express your views. That being said, you should understand that pieces written by GBAtemp Reporters are going to end up on the main page.

    It's a piece written by a GBAtemp Reporter.

    It doesn't have to, there are plenty of pieces written by Reporters that never make it to the main page. I mean, sure he can do it and it's not like anyone can really stop him. But it doesn't always have to just because someone is a Reporter.

    "Not all pieces by Reporters are on the main page therefore it's invalid for this piece by a Reporter to be on the main page."
    Okay.

    I kind of disagree with the notion that it shouldn't be on the front page. Frankly I'd rather have a front page full of these rather than some insignificant news, even though that would be impractical. Opinion pieces here take a ton of time and effort to make with virtually no reward for the person who writes it, so if it were me who wrote it I'd at least like it to be seen. After all, all reviews are opinion pieces and they have their own panel on the front page so I don't see why not. Just think of it as a review of the Switch trailer.

    I promised myself that I wouldn't participate in the discussion and only answer queries regarding technical issues with the post, but this is too good not to comment on. Many users understood the point of the article, others did not, which is something I anticipated. My bold experiment is working out exactly as predicted, which fills me with joy - observing you apes trying to make sense of what you just read is very entertaining. To answer a common criticism, the article is on the front page because I have the power to put it there - if you don't like it, don't read it. I took some of my valuable time to teach you some important lessons - a little gratitude would be nice, but I can only get so much from your primitive minds on the first go-around. I do have good news for the nay-sayers though - the article will soon be off the front page... because a new one is coming out next week, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. Cry in your little hugbox until then, because you'll need a pair of new britches to survive the next onslaught. Be sure to direct your criticism straight to my inbox, you crybabies. ;O;

    Does anyone else find it ironic that the tempmas contest prize is a Switch?

    We wanted to give away the Sony Triggered, but that's way too far ahead in the timeline.

    We're all swindled to some extent. The only question is how much.
