I will try again. I renamed the GW.3dsx to boot.3dsx to coldboot into GW Emunand. But since the homebrelauncher.cia uses the boot.3dsx file too I cannot run the normal HB-Menu inside Emunand.
So I was wondering if there is a way (besides using CTRBootManager) to keep the GW-File named boot.3dsx and run the HomebrewLoader.cia correctly with a different file name (e.g. bootHBL.3dsx).

(I hope this makes more sense now, but it still seems to be hard to understand even for me lol damn you English!)

You can disable it in the Pasta Menu just make sure it says firmlaunch:No

Cheat Search is broken.
The console doesn't do anything anymore after ding a cheat search (all types of search).
Any info where I can report this?

ninjhax -> HBL -> PastaCFW (with firmlaunch disabled, make sure of that) or rxTools Pasta Mode -> ninjhax -> HBL -> sysupdater
I'm pretty sure it doesn't work when launched without CFW.

It must be installed to sysnand with rxtools dev mode. Otherwise you'll screw up and brick your system. Do not ever use gw mode or any sort of classic/emunand mode at all. Or else you will have a lovely brick.

Except that it isn't the best option (well it isn't the worst, the worst is the browser one) since it means you are using old keys for your savegames, which means your saves basically only work on your 3DS or another 3DS that uses the same configuration (GW on 4.5). So whenever you want to switch to a New 3DS for example you'll face compatibility problems.

I managed to get the Homebrew Launcher on my 9.0 N3DS sysnand. I installed menu hax but didn't manage to do the "no button" method, I have to hold L at boot to launch GW.

I heard of a boot.cfg file, where do I have to put it on my sd card ? thx

Except that it isn't the best option (well it isn't the worst, the worst is the browser one) since it means you are using old keys for your savegames, which means your saves basically only work on your 3DS or another 3DS that uses the same configuration (GW on 4.5). So whenever you want to switch to a New 3DS for example you'll face compatibility problems.

Saves can be decrypted with relative ease now though.

I did a time test with my phones stopwatch. I boot in about 35 seconds using Menuhax>GW.3dsx.
Just curious what others are getting?

Ok, you are using menuhax, here's what you have to do:

- Rename GW.3dsx to gate.3dsx (any 4 letters will work).
- Open your payload file (it's a bin file in root folder of your internal sd card) in a hex editor. http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/
- Find/Replace boot.3dsx to gate.3dsx
- keep boot.3dsx file for HBL.

Let me know if doesn't work.

i guess they will probably remove the downgrade option for 9.3+ consoles if they want to at least hold their monopoly for a while.....or at least force red card ownership this time

I meant best option for me, my 4.5 O3DS, i don't play much, so if i have to redo some games if one day i ever plan to take a N3DS, i wouldn't care that much ^^. and, there is no converter for <6.x saves to 6.x ?

I don't see how or why they would do this seeing as you can restore Nand backups by holding up when you select downgrade in the Gateway menu it not like they hold a monopoly or something.
