It unlocks all the child characters' recruitment missions once you choose your game path. It allows you to get kids with parents in a same-sex relationship, but it also lets you recruit them without their parents getting married.

Ahh ok. So if I go figure out who's meant to have which kid, it'll be easy enough to only get them when I'm meant to. That sounds good enough to me!

So I'm playing Revelation as male Kamui. However, I also have a female Kamui character in my game, which I imported with FEFTwiddler. She has no shield and can support everyone. I want to marry her to Aqua, but I noticed that even though they can support, they have no support convos. Is there a reason for that? Does the game not see her as the main Kamui and thus doesn't give her support convos? :0

Arghh I married F!Kamui to Aqua BEFORE marrying M!Kamui (the main Kamui) to Takumi. The game begun seeing F!Kamui as the main Kamui. So I turned off my 3ds and loaded an old save just in case.
Even so, the game STILL sees f!kamui as main. I tried putting m!Kamui higher in the roster and marrying him to Takumi but it doesnt give me an S support convo and keeps seeing femui as main. I tried changing the gameData.bin, in case that was the reason, and it still didn't work.

Is there any way to switch them around? I really want male Kamui as my main mu....

EDIT: NVM. SOLVED. I just needed to put male Kamui higher in the roster, then SAVE and reload

Oh wait, about the kids: I just went and read up about that now, and apparently kids are based on the father (or main character)?
So just to confirm: even with the "all paralogues unlocked" edit, the children take on hair colour/stats based on their parents, so I do want to recruit them only after they have parents, right?
And excepting the player, I'm going to get 2 kids when I pair men together and no kids when I pair women together, right?

That seems a little sad, but if that's how it works then I can work with it.

Yup, that's pretty much it. Most of the time, 2 men will have 2 kids and 2 women won't have any. The only exception is Aqua (Azura), who is a woman but has Shigure assigned as her kid.

I know it's sad, but if it helps, in FE:Awakening it's the opposite. Kids are assigned to women, except for Lucina who is assigned to a man (Chrom). In case you want to play Awakening next.

And yes, it's better if you wait for their parents to be married before you recruit the kids, for many reasons. Not only for the hair color, but also because that way they can gain more skills and better stats.

Sure. Just follow this guide to edit a copy of the gay fates' GameData.bin with a Hex editor such as HxD. You'll also need a program named FEAT to compress/decompress the file (no need to delete the first 4 bytes and use Batch anymore. Just use FEAT directly)

Then follow the miniguide I posted a few pages ago on this thread, and getting the kids will be easy!
Remember to only use the edited GameData.bin when you're about to marry 2 charas, and then revert it to the original gamedata.bin, or else you might have problems with reclassing.

I tried to use the NTR method on a japanese SE but nothing happened except the fact that my record hall will crash if I try to enter it.

Wanted to play fates for a longer time, got even the SE hardcopy since release but no time, lets patch and play :3

Finished my first run! It worked pretty well, thanks for the awesome hack everyone!

That said, I did get a crash (forced reboot) during the credits. With Hinata/Subaki (the opposite way around to what's pictured, since they get shown twice).

I haven't started the game up again to see how much replaying I need to get back there, and see if it works this time (maybe it only crashed bc I was taking ntr screenshots?) But i assume i can skip the credits if it's really broken.

Alright so I have two questions

1. My support conversations from when I play conquest are still there even though I already erase the save file, in the record hall which is making some conversations skip( I realize some conversations are skip because there no support written for them so I understand now.)because in my original gameplay I didn't get to the certain characters so it doesn't work on the hans version.
2. Battles don't end automatically when all my units did their moves. I can still manually end it

My friend is having trouble dumping her Birthright cart (it keeps failing and the braindump file is incomplete). Would a SE romfs file work on a BR cart if I renamed the file 00179400.romfs or is there different internal stuff?
