What is it you want to achieve?
Transfer NNIDs since my kid play online sometimes. And I want to keep his saves from the 2ds (on OFW).
What is it you want to achieve?
To remove a nnid without formatting (with a9lh) there is a guide on 3ds.guide. It is listed on the website header.Need some guidance for System Transfer.
I got 3 consoles right now:
A - 2ds on OFW on 11.3 (with my kid NNID)
B - o3DS on CFW (Luma) on 11.2 (with my own NNID)
C - n3DS on CFW (Luma) on 11.2 (no NNID)
I dumped my game carts and saves on B and planned to backup everything on the PC (newly dumped cia and saves)
Maybe I don't need to transfer those NNID (do I?)
-> If I do, I would transfer my NNID of my old 3ds (B) to my new 3ds (C). I think it will require System update to 11.3 for doing so. After that, I would transfer A to B.
-> If I don't, how can I unlink those NNID from the console, is the format the only solution ? If it is, what will I loose by doing so ?
Am I missing something? I don't really understand the "ticket" thing, I think I need to dump them from my console B but I'm not too sure why and how.
Also, I would like to know if anybody did a system transfer on CFW with 11.3 installed.
Thanks a plenty, that's my last step and I don't want to loose something and/or brick a console.
Earlier you asked if formatting was the only way to remove a nnid.I want to transfer them, not removing them
I have a New 3DS that I needed the SD card out of temporarily, so I removed the SD card and backed it up with my laptop. I then formatted the SD card and have used it multiple times to install Windows on a few spare laptops and Wii modding. I've just got done with everything I needed the SD card for and low and behold, my laptop died. I hadn't gotten around to backing up the laptop before it died and my weekly backup schedule hadn't performed, so I am now without a backup of my SD card.
I do not care about the save files. I do not care about the games. It has A9LH and no attached NNID, so formatting is OK. Do I just format the console after putting the standard guide files in place and getting it to boot?
Why would you format the console? There's no reason to format the console. Just put arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of your SD card and that is literally all you need.. Of course you can put payloads, HBL files etc. in there too. And FYI the console should work without SD card anyways if you've setup the SDless boot where you copied the arm9loaderhax.bin file to the CTRNAND of the console.
Perform a System Transfer. This is the only way to move NNIDs between consoles. Use JKSM to backup the saves on any console that you want to keep the saves on, and restore them afterward.Transfer NNIDs since my kid play online sometimes. And I want to keep his saves from the 2ds (on OFW).
That means you do have data on your card. Either format the card (not the console) or delete each game individually in Data Management.I literally just did what I said I was going to do. Now I have a whole LOT of installed titles in Data Management that just aren't there. THAT is why I'm formatting it.
When you are in the getting started section, you choose your firmware version and then it will instruct you to downgrade to 2.1.0Hi, i got some questions in arm9loaderhax guide:
Section II , Line 2 "You should be on 2.1.0"
Section IV, Line 6 "If your backup was of a version between 3.0.0 and 4.5.0, your console will not boot until you manually download the required firmware"
My Old3DS 6.2 Europe is compatible with this method? I can´t find any compatibility list :/
Thanks for your time
If I have a modded 3ds with al9h, luma, and ntr, and I do a system transfer to an unmodded 3ds, do I lose a9lh, or are there any effects on my modded or unmodded 3ds?
Yes VC means Virtual Console. It's much easier to download VC games already injected but it's possible to inject your own if you really want to. On old 3DS you can't play VC SNES games but you can play all others. For SNES in old 3DS you need a homebrew emulator.
The DSTwo works fine but the extra features which make it cost more aren't really necessary. You'd be better off with a cheaper card, since you'd probably only be using it for DS games. An exception would be if you wanted to use it on a DS or DSi as well.
Are custom firmware compatible with DS emulation cards for 3DS? I have R4iTT specifically.
I'll be playing a lot of SNES games. Does the CPU make it worth it if I am going to play SNES? Can I play NES on the 3DS XL (U)?
Is Luma3DS a VC?
