I was having same problems. Try unzipping hakchi2 freshly, ensure firewall/defender is off in System Control Panels. And make sure your not over-holding the reset button.. that was my problem all last night.. After each step Turn off Power, Unplug, repeat.... The software worked flawlessly when used in manor alike the above video. .... Also try one rom first!
Ill try the firewall/defender thing..Im testing it with battletoads first because I saw someone have it in a youtube video, Ill try again though. One more thing, how long do I hold reset?

Neat! What are the chances of someone replacing "/usr/bin/clover-kachikachi" executable with an ARM build of the FCEU NES emulator?
Seems like it's possible not only replace it but run other application directly via shell instead of games. Or edit init script to run other app. But will it work video output of NES Mini?

I press the button on the application first. It then gives me instructions.. I plug the unit in, hold reset, and press power. As soon as the Instruction screen disappears LET GO.. Then Unplug at end of each step. Start fresh with a hakchi2.zip ... Try Contra in place of BattleToads

Weirdly when its dumping kernal at the sunxi_flash part, the light turns on. Then power doesnt work, is this supposed to happen? And I will try contra as soon as I dump the kernel

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I tried to add Nazo no Murasamejou (disk system exclusive) and the game does start but when it asks to change to the b side, both my NES Mini and Famicom Mini crash with the error C7. Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks @Cluster ! Super easy to setup, only thing that took the longest was picking out the boxart for every game. (Sorry to those who are having issues :( )

I'm Canadian, did it all on Windows Vista, so Win7 not required.
My browser (Chrome) Wouldnt let me download the Zip file! Kept failing as it called it a virus. I had all my AV software and firewall turned off but discovered Microsoft Security Essentials running in the background (I had deleted ages ago, apparently remnants still existed) After Cleaning up MSE it downloaded and worked no problem!
Picked all the games and boxart first. then clicked add.
Plugged in mini, went into FEL mode.
Dumped.
Flashed.
Turned off mini.
When I turned it back on it automatically started to add my games.
Played Ren and Stimpy.
Profit.

Hi.

I developed ROM-management tool for NES Mini.

View attachment 74050

It's very-very simple to use.

Download link: http://clusterrr.com/soft/hakchi2.zip

Requirements: Windows 7+, .NET Framework 3.5

Installation not required. Just unzip and run.

  • It's very easy to add games, just select .nes files
  • You can change any game settings - publisher, release date, etc.
  • Automatic online search for boxart via Google
  • It can fix incorrect iNES headers using fceux database
  • Automatic verification of supported mappers
  • You can hide 30 default games in one click
It's beta version. Please send to me any bugreports and suggestions.

Great program! I wonder if you might be able to figure how much of the flash is being used when flashing over roms to the device. Mainly so people don't overfill the console.

64 games seems to be he sweet spot for my console. I've taken off the original 30 and just re-added the ones I want from the official release games.

I'm sure I read in this thread that adding too many games made save states etc corrupt as not enough room? Either way I've pretty much got all the games I want working now anyway.

ya on reddit says at 90 games only leaves you 16 save slots, but for me that's plenty as I don't play 16 games at the same time. I'm sure in time there well be a work around.

Post again to say thanks to Mr cluster :)

Feature request: auto detect 1 or 2 players upon loading a rom for each region.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."
