I've been reluctant to upgrade RXtools ever since it stopped supporting the booting of my DSTWO in emunand (10-2, I think) and was wondering if there's really any reason why I would need to update. Does 3.0 allow DS Flashcard boot in emunand?

Also, I tend to get freezes on boot quite alot. I'm wondering if this is an RX, bootctr, or menuhax problem and what I can do about it.

It depends on when it freezes
Cold booting goes through several stages

Os boot
Menuhax boot
Menu hax rop
Rxtools launch
Rx tools privilege escalation
Reboot into rxmode

Your screen does something different at every stage

Nope, whenever it freezes, it's always when it first boots up, on boot image/white screen, leading me to think it's either a problem with menuhax itself, or it's having trouble booting bootctr. Maybe... Wasn't sure where the problem was, so wasn't sure where to post. I'm also wondering if one thing or another is taking issue with my 128GB msd. Anybody else who coldboots have this problem/figure out how to fix it?

Can someone please help me? rxTools has a tendency to stop working after a period of time on my O3DS.
Specs: O3DS sysNAND 9.2, emuNAND 10.3, rxTools 2.6

It's been set up so that on boot, MenuHax automatically loads boot.3dsx, which is ctr boot manager, which in turn auto loads rxTools 3dsx. This allowed me to cold boot rxTools and it worked perfectly, for a while. Suddenly one day it just broke - the 3DS will auto load ctr boot manager, but when it loads rxTools, it hangs on a black screen. This wasn't a one-off things as ALL subsequent attempts to boot into emuNAND would freeze on the black screen. However, I was able to boot into emuNAND by holding down L when rxTools attempted to load, then selecting emuNAND in the menu.

I then changed boot.cfg so that rxTools would load the code.bin instead of the 3dsx and once again, cold boot was working perfectly, for a while. Unfortunately, the same problem reared its ugly face again and rxTools would get stuck on a black screen for no apparent reason. I can still boot into emuNANd, but now I must press L and boot through the rxTools menu rather than cold booting. Why does rxTools just die over time? What's causing this?

Reinserting the SD card didn't work, however ejecting it, reading it on a PC without making any changes, and then reinserting it back into the 3DS did. Weird, huh?

I'm having an issue where I can't install CFW because my AGB_FIRM is corrupted or something, but when I go to delete it and replace it with the patched .CIA file I just get:

Delete failed!
Source: SOURCE_AM_DELETE_TITLE (0xb)
Module: MODULE_NN_OS (0x6)
Level: LEVEL_PERMANENT (0x1b)
Summary: SUMMARY_WRONG_ARGUMENT (0x8)
Description: DESCRIPTION_INVALID_COMMAND (0x2f)
Press Start to continue.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, so I fixed my above problem, but another unknown issue is still preventing me from installing CFW. I don't know why, but the loading bar looks like this now when loading up RXTools: [.....x.]

Any idea how to get rid of this last X and let me go to sleep would be nice. I've been doing this for 24+ hours straight and I'm kind of getting exhausted...

Well, I fixed the issue I was having (unblocked the .zip and then extracted), but the issue that I was having before is still happening. I can't install the FBI to emunand because theres no health and saftey tmd/content found by rxtools.

Please, for the love of fucking christ, help me. I have a massive migrain, my eyes burn from staring at a screen all day and night, and I feel like I'm just going to fall over. I just want to go to sleep, but I can't do that until I'm finished.

I found someone else on this thread with a similar problem, the only difference is that I can't install to either emunand or sysnand since they both return the same error (couldn't find H&S data.). Any help whatsoever would be massively appreciated. Hell, if you manage to help me fix it I would worship you like the homebrew God you are.

I'm seriously fucking desperate.

So, i've been using the rxTools for 2 weeks or so...
I set it to coldboot with CtrManager...but sometimes it just froze when it supposed to boot to the rxTools *after the countdown in CtrManager*...

Is it normal? What should I do?

Thanks in advance...

Hey guys, I have a problem to set rxtools on autoboot with menuhax. On sysnand 9.2 I installed menuhax with ninjhax and from there I opened the rop data from menuhax to write "boot.3dsx" to "bctr.3dsx" because the ctrboot manager boot data is called to me so. The boot.cfg is on timeout 0 and in the down there is on menuhax "boot.3dsx" as "bctr.3dsx" and everytime when I want launch to emunand, I got an blackscreen or I'm stuck at menuhax logo with yellow bottom flash. I formated my sd card and format the emunand to begin again from scratch but I didnt work at all and I need help. I Tried rxtools build 2.5.2, 2.6 and 3.0 and no one of these works for me now

I got it working -_- miss mash of wackyness ... Went all over google someone linked there rxtools folder FINALLY got it loading past two squares and into emunand...
this is what I did :

ok clear your rxtools folder besides theme if you have a theme set from a past install
plop this in http://www83.zippyshare.com/v/fwI4c3Ab/file.html
open and boot into rxtools after install is done go to settings enable QUICK BOOT
after I did all this I just turn off my system turn it back on id say 10-15 secs later im in emunand
(make sure your ctrbootmanager has a auto timeout of 0 if you want to auto boot into rxtools and quick boot setting in rxtools should be on)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

my folder looks like this
Capture.PNG

my boot config looks like this

boot_config :
{
timeout = 0;
autobootfix = 8;
recovery = 2;
default = 0;
entries = (
{
title = "rxTools";
path = "/rxTools/sys/code.bin";
offset = "0x12000";
},
{
title = "PastaCFW";
path = "/3ds/PastaCFW/PastaCFW.3dsx";
key = 0;
},
{
title = "HomeBrewMenu";
path = "/boot_hb.3dsx";
} );
};

I was experiencing this for a while as well. It could just be due to you not making a "firmware.bin" file and putting it in "/rxtools/sys". It could also be due to bad files/file placement, so make sure that you have all the right files and that you placed them correctly too.

I could be entirely wrong though, I'm just speaking from my own experience with doing this.

Ok, so I'm on 9.2 sysNand with 10.3 emuNand using rxTools 3.0 Alpha.

I previously had rx 2.6, and I installed two or three japanese games on it, mainly FE: Fates and the Hyrule Warriors Demo, and they always worked just fine.
However, after updating my rxTools so I could coldboot directly into it, these cias and only those (I tried installing other non-japanese cias after them and they don't disappear) disappear if I enter the friends list app and close it.

I can still enter the game through devmenu or FBI, and sometimes if I turn the 3DS on and off the cias reappear again as wrapped gifts.
If I enter the game, press Home, go to friends list and exit it, the 3DS freezes and I'm forced to turn it off.
The same happens if I try to press Home if the icon isn't there by launching the game through FBI.

I searched a lot for an answer to this and didn't find anything. I previously had linked Nands, but I even unlinked them to see if this had anything to do with it but it still doesn't work either way. Is this a known issue? Or is it just the build I'm using?
One of my friends is using the same build and installed japanese games as well, and none of this happened to him.
