guys I've experienced a problem here, need help! I inserted all files into the ACV0 and ACVINFO and done everything (replacing files in umdgen etc.) but when I run the game in my psp I only see black screen. However I can still press the home button. the game didn't freeze but I'm stuck at the black screen. Did I do something wrong? please help.

Alright once you have a modified LanguageKeep_jp.res file
1 put it in Unpack/Keep (make sure you haven't changed ANYTHING else within the Unpack folder)
2 run Unpacker and click insert all files and select the ACV0 and ACVINFO(It might take a little while)
3 open your iso using umdgen
4 put the modified ACV0 and ACVINFO in PSP_GAME/USRDIR
5 Click(in UMDGen) Save and pick iso as the type
6 Once it is done play the newly repacked iso
If that doesn't work then I'm gonna need a little more information

1. Extract ARCV0.BIN and ARCVINFO.BIN from your game
2. Extract those two .BIN's with the unpacker
3. In the \Unpack\Keep\ Folder, replace the LanguageKeep_jp.res with your own
4. Insert the edited (You can check by comparing size or the date since it was last modified) ARC0.BIN and ARCVINFO.BIN with your the unpacker tool
5.Edit your .iso with something like MagicIso, delete the old ARC0.BIN and ARCVINFO.BIN inside that first, then put the new ones in. Don't try to recreate the .iso from scratch.

This should work, just do exactly the same thing

Is the screen just going black right when you launch the game?

Been meaning to do this all day...I would like it if EVERYONE who is translating something would comment what they want to translate. Right now I think we have translated or partially translated the following:
Digimon name's
Item name's
Attack name's
Menu's

These are our current files (thanks darian for uploading them all together)
File 000: http://www.mediafire...oe3ulxdeapsq4pg
File 007: http://www.mediafire...mjknhbh40pimm1x
File 011: http://www.mediafire...abuh4a5b6eceack
File 015: http://www.mediafire...rakeq4txv8s6zz6
File 028: http://www.mediafire...d2irdwk8xsz5zju

If you think you can help then please comment what/how you are helping so we don't all do the same thing. :)

Have to note that File 015 is terribly broken, I recommend against using it, somebody has to redo it.

The folder Unpack is located wherever Unpacker.exe is located.

I'll redo file 15 if somebody can give me translation links to a spreadsheet.

Figure out how to save File_015 it in .csv without corrupting the Japanese text before you start working though. Otherwise it'll turn into the same mess again.

Does the file 15 you uploaded not work?

Edit: Or do you just mean how the file 15 currently up has question marks instead of Japanese characters?

I'll be working on 19, 20, 21, and 22; the files relating to the e-mails.

The only question I have regarding that: Do you guys want me to go with the dub names or the original names for the previous series tamers (Taichi, Yamato, etc.)?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
