I dloaded Switch backup manager and it came with or downloaded keys.txt. Can I use that same keys file for the root of the sd card to use with ZeroTwoXCI? When I try to install the .xci, it fails to complete. When it first starts up, it shows app keys 0-4, then 4 strings of zeroes. Is that normal? It loads a header key that looks normal i guess.

Switch Backup Manager does not come with its own keys and even if it did, it would be removed immediately due to a copyright violation. Anyways, if you're having trouble installing .XCI files with those keys, you can try dumping them yourself with the homebrew application Lockpick. You can also try installing .XCI files with other homebrew apps such as dOPUS or n1dus.

switch backup manager downloads a keys.txt file if one doesn't already exist, but it only has few keys it needs

master_key_00
master_key_01
master_key_02
master_key_03
master_key_04
header_key
aes_kek_generation_source
aes_key_generation_source
key_area_key_application_source

zerotwoxci may need more than that so you'd better just dump the complete one from your switch using kezplez-nx or lockpick
