Yeah, I can see how if you have a Slot-2 this would be very useful. It also seems to me like you can just use the 2 images for file browsing from an R4 theme on this. Anyone wanna test this?
I have tested it, and it works. I've been working on a batchfile in the past month, and it automatically detects valid R4 skins and uses them. I'm going to release it on GBAtemp today. It's called R4YSauto for the R4 and clones and AK2YSauto for the AceKard 2 (not too original, but whatever

Please read the first post. Have you read it?

of course I read it.

that is why I wrote "I have looked all over it and cant find it" yasu' site I meen

Why is it so taboo to make the access to the files a bit easier?

all I want to do is check out his work and see if I prefer it to the r4 v1.18 kernel.

I think it will be better as it uses the ttds files for compatibility.

BUT ALL THAT DOESN'T HELP.

one silly file stands in my way of trying this gem.

someone please give a precise location to the r4dldi.dat file.

thanks.

I'll give it a try from scratch.

I tried the OS out today, and all but homebrew works, once I get it up and running it is bye bye R4 v1.18.

The compatibility of TTDS with the look of R4 nice work.

What Exactly does YSMENU R4 to the R4???
YSMenu is a homebrew loader for the R4. It uses the DSTT software for better rom compatibility and has some nice features like clean GBA rom support and support for NES-, GB- and SNES-roms through emulators.

Technically, YSMenu doesn't have noteworthy SNES support.

I thought that YSMenu loaded the SNES, NES or GBC emulator automaticaly upon recognition of the rom type with out having to boot the emulator first.

I think that that is particularly noteworthy....

The latest YSMenu can run homebrews without an extra file.

Just use this. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=103879

hi, I just installed the YSMenu in my M3, the menu works and looks great [I made my own theme too]... but when I try to load a game it keeps loading forever and just stays there with the little loading animation at the lower left corner.. anyone knows what's wrong?

Edit:
DS games do that [DMA is checked, reset and rumble unchecked, if that matters]
GBA games are fine
Homebrew is fine
NES and GB/GBC say "Can't open emulator" and I still have to run them as usual.. and yes, the goomba, pocketnes.gba emus are in root

About not running games I have it with 2 titles but I don't know either why that happens...maybe compatibility???

Anyway YSMenu is working great there, I'm using it for about... 1-2 weeks I think and everything is OK except those 2 titles

So with mentioned file on begining homebrews will go as should? That is great information

IIRC the emulators need to be on the TTDS folder, but maybe it's just my faulty memory.

I just installed YSMenu using triassic guides and with the latest YSMenu files...so does that mean that mine can run homebrew already?
