YouTube AdBlock/ReVanced Switch?

I found that theres a patch for the PS4 version of YouTube.
Maybe theres a way to port this to the Nintendo Switch version?

It should be able to be ported.

Sponsorblock and Adblock are on damn near every device that supports YouTube. Even crappy smart TVs

They are annoying to keep updated though, which is likely why no one out in the time for Nintendo switch.

Also anyone using a modding switch for media use likely is also running Linux / Android on it already which will than defeat the point

I’d love to see it happen still. I just don’t for see anyone really spending the time tho especially now that switch is EOL

Even if you could use adblock in the embedded browser somehow, video playback is disabled in the embedded browser, so the only option is the app. Needless to say building adblock into the app is not a straightforward endeavor.

I guess nothing is stopping somebody from doing that if they really want to. Easiest way would probably be downgrading the browser applet to an early version that had video support, which you probably do by replacing files with layeredfs. I believe the earliest versions of the browser applet still had video support but it was removed as soon as people discovered the loophole.
