The only thing I don't like about the Invisisheild is the texture. Its wayy to sticky and frictiony. Its good for the ipod on the back because it doesn't slip like a bar of soap, but for a touch screen its annoying. You cant slide your finger smoothly, it sticks and stuff.

Invisishields are AWFUL. Plain awful. It was really hard to apply and it left bubbles despite my following the instructions to the letter. I tore it off a few weeks later when I sold my DS Lite

That's the difference between a 41 year-old (me) and a 16 year-old (him) I guess.

I find this quite offensive. I am 16 myself and take good care of all my electronics, my GBC, GBA and DSPhat are all working and I have had them for years. I've had my DS since Uk launch and aside from a scratched touchscreen (could do with replacing) it's in perfect working order, my GBC is in lovely working condition with nothing ever breaking on it and my GBA has only had its battery cover broken (I had a spare cover which fit from a light/magnifier so its now black and purple)

Hell, I had my GBA when I was 10 and didn't break it in the 3 years until I got a DS.

So I left my Wii at a friend's house and came back there 3 days later only to see the screw covers taken off. I told his 9-year old brother off, telling him to take care of stuff especially if it's not his. He then responded with "But I can't even take care of a baby!"

Sure you can't but it's not as fragile as the Wii. It's easy to take care of the Wii. I never entrusted them with anything ever again...

The best thing to do is to buy a protective cover. Next is choosing who to leave it to...wisely.

hell yeahs it pisses me off too. i remember as a teen loaning shit to friends and getting it back all fucked up and one time my older brother took my zelda link to the past strat. guide and loaned it to a buddy of his ( they were both in their thirties at the time) and i got it back all ripped to hell. that one really fucken ammazed me cause they were adults and i was just a punk ass kid and i took better car of my shit then they did! still till this day i never loan anything out anymore because of that one instance and now i'm 30 something.

I got this shell for my DS Lite from realhotstuff, which is a clear plastic case, with silicone inserts. Nothing can scratch the DS, and the silicone seems like it would give quite a bit of cushioning even in a drop.

But anyway, whenever you lend somebody anything, always assume you're not getting it back, simple as that. If you're that anal about your stuff, just don't lend it out, because you're not going to like what you get back. There's a reason people say "Nothing parties like a rental!" Seems like you learned that lesson pretty cheaply.

My brothers both have DS lites and have broken them twice each. On the other hand i've had mine since launch and it's barely scratched. They are pretty fragile if you aren't careful.

Also, people tend to be less careful with stuff that isn't theirs.

Why loan your DS to someone anyway? You, sir, are insane.


The best thing that you can really do is tell them that they suck at it.
If not, they'll just borrow more from you and not take anybetter care of anything else that isn't their's.

Its one thing when you lend your stuff to someone you know, but its a different thing completely when you get that with a warranty. I recently sent my DSi in to nintendo's repair center because the r button wasnt working and the blowing trick wasnt helping. When I got it back, there were all these weird discolored marks on the top near the camera. Its hard to notice, but since my system was spotless when I sent it in, I noticed immediately, and others can too if I point it out.

When I still had my DS Lite before I traded it in to get my DSi I had to send it to Nintendo so they could fix my left trigger, they mailed it back unfixed and it still didn't work, they didn't even bother to do anything to it except repackage it and mail it back. I contacted Nintendo of America directly and I got the person who handled my DS Lite fired.
