Sorry to add another one, I DID see another thread and lost the link, plus it was out dated, and i tried using the CRAP google search and didnt find anything, plus I was looking for more up-dated info.

So apparently the competitors along with the cheapest prices I could find are:

    R4 Price: $17.50 Sold-Out atm tho(???!!??!?!?!???)

MARS Price: $21.27 (I was told this is a R4 clone but works exactly the same way? Theres no reviews on this site, should I get this?)

    CycloDS Price: $49.99

    Acekard Price: $23.01

SuperCard DS One v3 Price: $26.60

    Edge Price: $23.59

    DSTT Price: $23.50

    M3DS Real Price: $29.60

    iTouchDS Price: $20.94

    Acekard R.P.G. Price: $65.90

So I was told by a friend that CycloDS was the best, but as I began to look around, other carts did the same as Cyclo and much much cheaper...

Could someone give me the up-to date pros and cons with these compared to each other??? The only deffernce I see between these are:

CycloDS - Apparently the best, but you get what you pay for...

    Pros:

    - Has real good support and compatability, problems are fixed FAST. They SHOULD especial since your paying for it!

    - English support team

Will CycloDS Evolution OS be utilized in the future to add exciting new features????

    - SLOW MOTION

    - Adjust LCD brightness

    - Autoboot mode which when activated will directly boot into the last ROM or homebrew application executed (doesn't matter much to me)

    - Excellent homebrew compatibility thanks to the DLDI auto-patcher (I don't think I want one if it doesn't have this :/, matters MUCH to me)

    - supports MicroSDHC

    - PassMe function (boot from slot 2) No real time game guide

    - Real-time game guide

    Cons: None really...

    - Expensive

    Supercard

    - Has a nice GUI

    - Good compatibilty

    - Doesn't support RealTime Save function (?) (That's not a good thing [IMG])

    - No real time game guide

    - NO SLOW MOTION [IMG] (can be quite useful in some games)

    R4 SDHC and R4

    Pros:

    - good compatibilty

    - No DLDI auto-patcher (?) (If it doesn't have this, I don't think I want it...) (R4 only)

    - No real time game guide

Mars - R4 clone, actually better then R4 [IMG] - But does it work exactly the same way? Should I get it?

    Pros:

    - Fourth cheapest

    - Good reviews

    - Supports MicroSDHC

    - Can Adjust LCD brightness

    - Has a DLDI auto-patcher

    - Has a PassMe function

    Cons:

    - No real time game guide

    - Doesn't support RealTime Save function (?) (That's not a good thing [IMG])

    - NO SLOW MOTION [IMG] (can be quite useful in some games)

N5 Revolution (not reccomended) Price: $13.94

    NOT RECCOMENDED

    - The cheapest at only 13.94!!!!

    - There have been reports that the N5 blows NDS fuses

Is there any thing that I'm missing? All the features and stuff are the same right?:

    - Completely plug & play - no FlashMe, PassMe or PC software required
    - 100% compatibility, supports clean ROM's - works on any OS
    - Wii connectivity in games is supported
    - Full NDS download play support
    - Cheat code engine
    - Uses MicroSD card, both FAT16 and FAT32 supported
    - Save type is automatically detected, no need for a save type database
    - Save directly to MicroSD rather than onboard flash
    - User friendly, easily skinnable interface. Both touch screen and button operation supported
    - Multi-lingual user interface
    - "Enhanced Mode" which provides powerful, unique features during game play. Enhanced features are activated through an in-game menu. Enhanced mode features include:
    - RealTime Save which allows you to save and restore the state of gameplay at any time
    - Moonshell included to provide media playing functionality
    - Supports rumble and memory expansions, without any special user interaction required

    More features to come???

Whats the onboard flash memory on them? and what does it matter / do? Is recovery mode in all of them?

This is SUCH a hard decision!!!!! I've been on the computer all day and night trying to figure his out. ARGH!!!! [IMG]

    Thanks guys...

P.S. I'll be adding the DSTT to this list tommorrow....ERR... its past 12 so later today xD

You can cross everything out except the CycloDS and Supercard.
Then, wait until tomorrow for PharaohsVizier's in-depth comparison between the two cards.

A lot of people who don't have use for extra features like game state dumps or slow-motion recommend the Acekard 2 or the Edge over the CycloDS or the SCDS1.

Obviously, the CycloDS is much more expensive than other carts.

The SCDS1 doesn't have a particularly fast, responsive, or easy to use menu system.

So if the menu is more important to you than extra features, you might consider the Acekard 2 or Edge.

You don't really need the extra features, they're kinda useless but some people want them. I think the CycloDS is too expensive and you could probably get the Acekard 2 + 4-8GB Sandsik MicroSDHC for the same price. (Depends where you buy it).

Get the CycloDS, it's the best one currently and it has what you mentioned
50$ is NOT expensive as this 50 dollars will save you ALOT [IMG]
EDIT: and if you're looking for a solution to play GBA games on your slot-1 card i suggest you get an EZFlash 3in1 or an Ewin expansion

Edge got Pass me and auto DLDI

I suggest read the revies on gbatemp. Edge , cyclo DS, supercards ds one and Acekard2 have a Golden award for some reason.
All cards have its flaws at some point.

The point is you need to say what features u need and what u dont need. Then its easy to find the best flashcard you need, if you dont you might end up with the wrong card.

Cyclods is the best of the best. EDGE is a clone of it with no features.

One thing i've never understood is that you people are so tight that you want to save 25 bucks on a product that will save you thousands. Screw the price, the cyclods is the best hands down.

Part of the reason I don't like the CycloDS is because it isn't not sold in Toronto or I don't know where. Also, it just seems to me that Slow Motion feature is for those that suck at video games. No offense.

Only if you feel the extra features are worth the extra cost. If you don't use the extra features, the CycloDS is probably not the best choice because of the cost.

Just get the AK2 with the option of Ez3in1. It's perfect. I just got my AK2 replaced and no problems. So don't worry about that bad batch issue. It's been resolved now I think.

All the flash carts will save you the same amount of money, if one cart saved you more than another than sure, you would rather go with the one that saves you the most, but they save you the same amount, like bri said, It's whether or not your willing to play for Slow Motion, awesome support, and real time save.
