Well I've been reading for a while and I think I'll look for some verbatim (made in singapore?) dvd-r disks. I just ordered a d2pro9 Does anyone know if there are any at newegg or other reliable websites? Or are there better disks I should be looking for? And how do you check if you have a dvd burner in your computer? My family's computer is about 4 years old and I don't know if it has just a cd reader/writer and only reads dvds or if it is a dvd burner. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Now I have to decide between taiyo yudens (TYG02?) and the singapore verbatims.....help?

The best disks out there are Taiyo Yudens brand.
I read about those too. Are they more expensive though because of the better quality?
