OMG. techboy thank you haha, i can finally see my wii menu again! Now my question is, is that what i have to do in order to get to my menu all the time now or is there another step?

Now that i can access my wii menu again, should I reformat my wii and just start off with a clean slate? It's going to be annoying to have to always access the menu in maintenance mode.

It's probably a mail brick...format to delete all your mail. Then install HBC again.

Note that your old bootmii dump won't work anymore after formatting, since keys change.

You'll need to get back those channels you removed. Most can be installed with WiiSCU. Some tips:

* There are two parts to weather and news. I'm not sure if WiiSCU installs both of them. If they don't work, install both parts with wad manager.
* If installing Mii Channel using wad, it has funny name "RVL-Nigaoe-vX.wad"

Why it doesn't say "MiiChannel", don't know...
* Be sure shop is v18. Old ones will give an "Update Wii" message.
* Photo Channel may come as two wads. Install the normal one, then the 1.1 wad to update it if you want to.
* If you want, get the Today & Tomorrow channel (get a PAL wad). It's from PAL region, but works fine on NTSC systems.

* Check Mii Out, Everybody Votes, Nintendo Channel, Internet Channel can be DL'd from shop.

Let me know how it goes.

So far so good. I formatted my wii, it boots up fine and i even still have preloader and boot2 working. I tried to use WiiSCU but my internet connection sucks here. Can i just use NUSD to make a wad of the channels and install w/ wad manager?

NUSD+Wad manager will work. Read the tips from my previous post. They'll explain a lot of the details.

Thought you might find WiiSCU easier, but if the network sucks...

I got all the channels i wanted back, went through the whole mod process and now my wii is back from the dead and i can play nsmb now haha. Thanks to everyone that helped.
