I'm aware that the pre-installed games exist, but to the best of my knowledge (someone correct me if I'm wrong) they aren't "legit" in the way that they are on the 3DS. Even if they were "legit", access to the kernel would still be required for installation and dumping of said games and since the system that ships with the games pre-installed is on a non-exploitable firmware dumping them isn't even possible at this point.
Wot m8, I have the Smash/Splatoon bundle and it is on 5.4. So it is exploitable to kernel level.

For confirmation:
Yellows8 Fright Browserhax is functioning, however a payload for 5.4.0 has not yet been released?

Does wupinstaller use this exploit now?

I'm getting an MP4 thingy when I load it up on my 5.4 wiiu.

..however it is crashing all the time.

Are classic (snes, gba, sega) emulators possible on 5.5 with this if someone were to port or develop one?
That's exactly what I want to know
Yes. There's no reason why it wouldn't be possible. All you need is a developer willing to spend the time to make/port one. Not saying it won't be hard though.

Sure there is: 32K code limit (until there's a proper ELF loader), and no ELF loader worth using yet (and there's no public kernel exploit for 5.5 yet, so a hypothetical homebrew ELF converted into an RPX and ran via Loadiine isn't possible either). Once those are removed/dealt with, then it's more likely to happen.

I meant once a homebrew launcher was released. You do have a point though.
