Suggestion XP reward for reporting posts and penalty for false reporting

If someone reports a post that later gets moderated, there could be a small reward (1-2 XP) for helping the mods notice a bad post.
This, of course, could be abused, so if there's a false report, the person would get an XP penalty of the same degree.

when moderating we can accept/close the report (auto-granting XP), or reject it.
if rejected, it shouldn't be a penalty, unless abused.

it would require an option to add penalty in the report system.
or just a way to manually add/sub XP to a user with a reason.

While the motive behind the idea is good; the XP system is designed to reward users for contributing to the site in a positive way that encourages them and others to keep returning. It is about giving members a fun system that can spur them on creatively - making GBAtemp a better place and resource to visit.

If we begin to reward XP for reporting posts; not only would this involve more work and potentially more false reports but it would encourage users to nitpick and turn against each other and perhaps make users think twice before contributing even if there intentions were good.

We appreciate user reports immensely as it makes our lives as staff easier and appreciate all users that take the time to do so, but I think reporting should be kept separate from the XP system for the foreseeable future.
