Xenoblade Chronicles size too big....

    Xenoblade chronicles 3ds file size a little more than 4gb, and i cant put it in my gateway sd card, because 4gb is the size limit to fat32 sd cards.

    format your micro sd card to exfat, gw supports it

    100% yes - the only problem is backing up your roms to your computer whilst you reformat the card :)

    Or just trim the rom.
    It's what I did for Bravely Default (4gb)

    you can always install the game as .cia.

    Why are CIA's smaller than .3ds roms?

    I don't think I've seen a definitive answer.

    iirc, it's because 3DS files are full cartridge dumps, including "unused" space.
    CIAs only contain the game's files, so there's not any useless data on those.

    Also (usually) CIA games have update partitions (and often manual data as well) chopped out of them.
