I'm focusing on missions (as the leg's missions are mostly timed, if you go too far in the story you loose the missions)
Really? how far???
I'm now inside the bionis but I didnt complete every mission on the bionis leg.

You're literally at the point where it can potentially happen. There's a new quest at Colony 6 you can do, and when you're about to finish it you're given the choice to wait until you do the quests or carry on.
Ah, great, I didn't know
smile.gif

So I can advance in the story without caring about loosing old timed quests.
I completed all Legs quests before going to the Colony 6 map.
I'm now inside too, Lv28. (too bad all enemies are low levels (black color) and don't auto-attack and are too easy to beat. No challenge in battles except those Blue named monsters and unique monsters.

That's true. At first it was pretty hard! But now it's getting easier as I progress.

I'm Lv35 inside the bionis. Time to complete all the sidequest before continue with the main story!

4.3E, as there's an IOS80 and system menu v514
There are also all the IOS222 223 249 250 254 v65280.

Right yeah I guess that makes sense. o-o

Does that actually stop those IOS's being able to be installed ever then?

Meanwhile.. in the game, I'm not getting very far because I keep wanting to do all these dang quests. xD

Don't worry about the story, play like you like and enjoy the game
wink.gif

I did all the quest first too (10 hours!) before going to the cave.

About the installed IOS, they can always be replaced with cIOS.
either install the cIOS in another slot (248 for example) and it will never be replaced by nintendo update, or use a maxed out version (v65535, as nintendo use v65280 which is lower so they can't be replaced when updating).
The better is : do not update, or update+rehack.

Edit:
Do anyone else understood who was the "head" Mekon in the Colony9 ?
I understood it immediatly after the mekon Looked at Dunban before taking is flight and leaving the colony.
It's SOOOO BIG that it can't be anything else.

And I'm just at the exit of the mine, Shulk see what's inside...

does anyone know how to kill the dark murakmor, it can only been seen at night, it's when you 1st go into the town and it's near the water area slumped on the ground, as soon as you go near it it flies up in the air and i am unable to attack it because it's so high up and i end up taking 900 damage and dying instantly XD there is no guide on how to kill this annoying boss either.

I beat the dark murakmor a number of times in broad daylight. He's sitting on the southern air battery. Go to the residential district, go up those stone stairs and go next to the house of the little guy. You can jump over the fence there and you will land on the slope of the air battery. Simply walk up and you're there.

He's a very tough boss, though. (lvl 18 special monster)

yeah tell me about it, as soon as i tried to attack it i was dead already, i will have to check out that place you mentioned, there is another boss in one of the caves, it's a huge frog, has anyone encountered it yet? also the voice acting is getting to me man, jesus, the game is fun though.

Okay, so I bought into the hype as well and downloaded it because I wanted to try out the battle system beforehand.

It looks alright to me. Of course I'll be playing the way I normally play (skim through dialogue, loot everything, accept any sidequest (and forget about it), and only muck with the menu stuff when I'm stuck), but it's fun. And in the end, that's all that matters to me.

*makes note to buy the game tomorrow*

Ah yes, if you start from the place I mentioned you go to the northeast across the water and there are some highlevel monsters with a special boss frog at the end. I haven't even tried attacking him yet, he's 30+

Anyone know where the kid I'm meant to take cookies to is.. I swear I've been around the residential area a million times...

i'm stuck with that sidemission too, i tried to talk to that little kid by the water who needs to do better with their studying but nothing happened.

He is in the centre of the district. Go where the old man is usually sitting in front of or is behind the railing stretching. He is in the corner (where the tree is). I think he is only available at night because that was when I got him. (If you are talking about the grandson).

I'm currently looking for a Nenopo called Dennebe (sp?) for Zangan (who you meet in the high caves in Satoli Marsh). I can't find him as I'm currently in the Makarun Forest and it's driving me nuts! Do I go further or is he in the big tree and only comes out at a certain time?

nenopo ?
Ah, in French they are called Nopon

I'm currently is the marshes, I see which one it is (Zazadan in French, the one starving, right?), he just gave me the same mission, I have to deliver the caviar to Dedeba.
Edit: Mission complete. Dedeba is in Nopon town, at midnight, on one of the stairs on the right.

Why don't they use the same name for every localization!!? è_é

@Jalaneme :
The frog is on Colony 9, top-right (North-west, yeah, north being at the right of the screen) most part of the map, there's a little cave.
It's for Liliana's mission, she wants you to retrieve her father's pendant which is guarded by a big frog. I don't have the level to say Hi to that frog yet
mad.gif

The cookie kid is on the residential, hitting the tree in a house garden to train to beat his Nopon (nenopo?) brother.
That the old man house, the one doing stretching each morning.

I don't remember which kid by the water want to study.
There's a mother who want his son to start studying though, In the residential area, usually the morning. Take left (don't take stairs) when entering the town from the lake-garden entrance.
Maybe it's the same kid?

Edit:
I hate Shulk for being so indecisive.
after a vision he acts like "oh, well, I don't feel like telling you all the details...."

Edit2:
Also, I didn't like one thing :
At Colony6, Shulk says he want to go another place "first", so someone says "let's take a detour then! I'll show you the way for THAT detour, because you can't find it yourself" ... though ... it appear that it's the ONLY way, there's no detour at all. walking all straight would have lead to that single place ... it's a little weird to call that "let's go another place first by taking another route"
frown.gif

I hope later we could choose many directions, instead of just following linearly the path to complete the story.
Visiting optional area would be great too. (like the left shoulder beta map, not included in the game ;_;)

In spanish they're called Nopon too.

I’m having problems with 1 mission in the Bionis's Leg. I have to go to the thukan's nest (those birds with weapons) and kill a special mosnter. The thing is that, I've already kill it before accepting the quest... and now it doesn't appear anymore!

And in japanese Dub, they are saying Nopon too

About the bird chief, I had it too, looks like it's taking a lot more time to re-spawn.
I waited two days (real time XD) before I can kill it for the mission.
Just don't loose hope, it will respawn. Try going on Tempest days, maybe it's what made it respawn. (I think it's raining a lot since I completed the mines).

Now I'm reluctant to kill Single/rare enemy before having a mission telling me to do it
laugh.gif

But it looks like there's not that much mission to kill single enemies, they are just here for more epic battles.

I'm now in the jungle, after the "town" of this map. There's a lot of new missions hehe. (trying not to spoil, for new or future players)
I started rebuilding Colony 6 too, I managed to kill the enemies on the bridge after the jungle (lot of exp).

I wished we could play all together like a MMORPG, it's fun telling where we are blocked, how much we advanced, asking how to complete missions etc.

Oh, anybody managed to kill the big spiders ?
the one at the leg's temple (grabing the giant's mirror)
and the one(S) in the marches, when activating the mirror ? I escape the place and run like hell !
It's funny to have missions spawned all over the game, but I fear the difficulty if I activate them too soon.

*Cuts and pastes from other thread*

I'm level 23 and struggling to beat the big metal guy at the bottom of the mine right now.. (I forgot his name >_>; ) I just can't topple him. x_x;

Tried the Chain Link attack? usually helps me topple enemies, though getting the gauge up can be a pain.

Yeah all through the battle I never got the option to do a chain attack...

Also I seem to suck at getting it to go twice.

I used to be able to do it when the stuff happened in Colony 9.. but now. I fail. x-x;

You could try to do like me, don't controll Shulk on Metalic bosses
tongue.gif

wait for shulk to give you monado enchantment to make some hitting and fill the combo bar, you just need to make it fall.
You can't make it fall with normal skills, you need to make it fall with the skill during a combo. (it's also explained once in the tutorial about facia mekonis)
Place your character is the good order so that combo let you do that in order :
desequilibrate, fall, make it stop moving. (I don't know the good word in english).

Once he is on the floor, hit the most you can until the next cutscene.
Enjoy
smile.gif

So, best is to put :
1 - Shulk : use the pink slash skill which touch many enemies
2 - Reyn : make it fall with the green sword skill
3 - Girl : I don't remember if you have it already, use the yellow hand. (maybe you don't have this skill yet). don't worry, just controll Shulk then and after the combo make sure to hit it with the yellow sword.

I think I controlled the girl, well I'm not to sure now.
I had little more levels too, I was 26+

For combo, you need to train at successfully hitting b button at the right time, if you make it good you have 3 hearts and the jauge is filling better.
The more you need your friends in battles the more you'll have a chance to hit it. (like not controlling shulk and needing his monado power, with good friendship the controlled character ask for support. needing healing, the player ask for the girl healing, etc.)

you need to fill that combo bar before the boss battle, so you don't have a lot to fill to complete it.
