Is there anyway to mod Xenoblade 2 to render in a bigger resolution on portable mode? Like on os vita where you can modify the resolution of some games, like borderlands 2. The game looks great docked, but undocked is just awful.
Thanks! I will look into it.AFAIK it renders on dynamic resolution depending on load.
I.e. it will render on higher resolution if you find how to overclock the console. Sure there is a way. I mean, I'm not into hacking this time around so I haven't looked at tools and things, but probably there is something lying around to OC the console already?
PS: And yes, it looks like shit on portable mode.
What i mainly would want to do isn't overclocking but increasing resolution on portable mode, as i don't mind losing performance on a jrpg such as Xenoblade. And as sarkwalvein said overclocking would be a possible way to force the game to increase resolution, but i didn't find any reliable and steady way to overclock the switch on portable mode.wouldn't overclocking backfire at performance? honestly, it's not worth it
Yes that's what i was thinkig, sometimes i just prefer to play on portable mode connected to a wall outlet with a gooseneck, so the battery would be a problem in this situation.I'd you are talking about battery performance then yes.
But for some games that need just a bit more power it's absolutely worth it. Like many vita games gor example
Really? I mean I haven't really played the game in portable mode since I usually play with the pro controller. I usually play on tv for this reason. Pretty uncomfortable to use pro controller in portable.Have you updated the game recently? Portable mode is a lot better now.
I was playing it on version 1.5.1 i think, but for me it looked worse than vita games. I just played 1 hour of the game, so just the starting area, does the rest of the games looks better?Have you updated the game recently? Portable mode is a lot better now.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/gpu-handheld-mode-overclock-soon-available.529123/ Oh, finally. We'll be able to play Xenoblade 2 on Handheld mode propely soon it seems. Are there any overclocking tools to test this with? I have a modded switch just not sure if the community has gotten these kinds of tools out there yet.
I will take a look at that.https://gbatemp.net/threads/gpu-handheld-mode-overclock-soon-available.529123/ Oh, finally. We'll be able to play Xenoblade 2 on Handheld mode propely soon it seems.
Oh my god, that's awesome. I wasn't aware as I was running on OFW nowadays and I wasn't looking into the modding scene. Great Work dude!Xenoblade 2 works natively in portable mode in max 540p with very sharp TMAA. That's why it looks bad.
I made topic how you can change it by modyfying game files (f.e. disable TMAA, change resolution to 720p).

I ran ReiNX on 5.1.0-6.0.1 with airplane mode always on and accounts unlinked for about 1 or 2 months. Then I went back to OFW and it has been like 3-4 months and no ban at all. So if i do the same thing is unlikely I get banned, no?obviously you'd need to "mod"/use cfw to enable something like this (and risk apaddlingban for not running it how nintendo declared it had to be run...)
