Hacking Xbox Xenon Jtag/RGH

Hello There,
I have read many posts here and i can really say that I am confused.
I Found a deal for a working Xbox 360 Xenon,with 2 wireless controllers and 2 official games for 30 Euros(about 40.5 Dollars).
Also I didn't own a HD TV,and I dont have plans to buy one,so I'm ok with the lack of HDMI.
My question is if the Xenon x360 is Jtag-able and rgh-able.
Also whats the tools needed for the xenon modification!

It's only JTAGable on 7371.
And RGH, no.
RGHing a Xenon can only be pulled off on 14699 and even then it's extremely unreliable.
R-JTAG should be released for Xenons but I have little hope in that now.

Best is to go with an Xkey.
You'll need your DVD key extracted for that.
Plus side is you can load games off off a external HDD and keep XBLive.
Downside is, no XBLA no DLC and no homebrew.

Huh, the low price makes me think that the Xenon was reflowed (because it had RROD) and someone wants to get rid of it FAST.

If you have a decent computer monitor then you could buy the official VGA cable.

It isn't written anywhere that there isn't an internal drive

It's just that I feel that every Xenon out there is just a time-bomb. They'll all RROD eventually.

Bigger problem with Xenons than lack of HDMI is their likelihood to red ring, it's a question of when and not if. This many years on, and going for that cheap, could be on its last legs. That said, the controllers and possibly the games could be worth about €30 by themselves.

Xenons don't currently have a full hardmod option. TX have a forum subsection for a supposed Xenon prototype of their new RGH chip, but no mention of when it might actually be released, or even go into open testing. You could get the drive flashed, usually a few people offering to do it for not much if you don't want to get the equipment to do it yourself.

Xenons will RRoD yeh, no matter what you do to stop it.
And I said prolly, not that it doesn't have an internal drive ;p


But yeh, like others said, including me, just flash the drive or get an Xkey.
JTAG is done for (it'd be rare for it to be on 7371) and RGH is no option other then to rescue DVD keys.
R-JTAG for Xenon is supposed to be released but I have no hope of it seeing the light of day (since their working on a replacement of the CR3 Lite)

also was sitting for years.

You could go ahead and try a CR 3 pro chip to your Xenon or a CR3 Lite if you can find them and hope for a miracle to happen.

Or wait until TX comes with the Xenon R-JTAG chip or their new chip which should support phats.

Honestly, I think you're far better off just flashing the drive.
RGH on a Xenon is pretty much undoable.
R-JTAG is a lost cause by the looks of it and the new chip is still ETA.

I made a mistake from my hurry.

its before 7371 could i update to 7371 and then mod it or not?

You can't.

You can still attach an ODDE to it or flash the drive but JTAG is out of the question.

That's the LT right?
So the only think i can do is that and burning discs.
I dont have any option for putting a external or internal HD to run games from there?

The "LT" is a DVD flash yep.
You'll need to burn your ISO's to a disc then.

You can opt for an ODDE which will allow you to run games from an external drive.
An Xkey would be a nice solution.

So from what i see Xkey costs about 80 Euros+30 for console 110.I guess that doesn't worth it
I can find pretty nice slims or jaspers for 100++ and many of them are rgh'd
Also from what i've seen its really hard to write nice xbox's buckups and u need a compatible dvd writer right?

Hmmm i have to think about it.
I can't afford the money to buy an rgh so this could be nice even with writing the dual layers.
But if i can't write them to the writer i already have is it worth? :/

It seems that my old one is compatible,but it does really bad noise, but if i buy the xbox i might give it a try
Also is there any option for online playing with flashed drive?
