Phil Spencer calls the console "the most powerful console ever made". Featuring 6 teraflops of GPU power and 12 gigabytes of memory, the console is designed to run games in 4K HDR including 4K Bluray playback. It will feature compatibility with all Xbox One accessories and games, running even older games at 4K, using supersampling and anisotropic filtering to make the games look better on 4K as well as 1080p TVs. The system will be liquid-cooled as well. It is also the smallest Xbox yet. The system is set to launch worldwide on November 7th. The price will be $499 USD.

Should just call it what it is. Doesn't do Sapphire any harm to just say "vapor chamber". It's fancy enough, Sapphire even built a line around it (vapor-x cards).

Technically phase change might be true, but when I hear it, I think of the big ugly phase change coolers for extreme overclocking on pc.

Perhaps you're right. I'd be happy enough if they called it what it is instead of treating everyone like idiots. A vapour chamber is high tech enough, no need to add sprinkles on top.

I feel like they shouldn't have even discussed cooling as sooner or later some PC gamer will point out their "technicality". As we had just done.

Well, they also shouldn't have put a recording annoyingly shouting "exclusive" where there were almost no exclusives but (technicality) "three days earlier launch" exclusives.

When I heard "liquid cooling" I immediately thought of all the possible nightmare scenarios with leakage, all the returns, faulty units etc. until I saw the cross-section of the system and realised that it's not just water cooled with a pump. If they wanted to get me excited with that phrase, the result was the exact opposite - I immediately thought of it as a structural weakness and possible failure point.

The Xbox One X looks like a fantastic console to me, but the lack of games I care about for it end up making the PS4 Pro seem like the better purchase, even with the PS4 Pro being weaker and having the worse controller & UI (In my opinion).

Exactly, I had also already imagined all the day one nightmare of the system passing itself when turning on.
Also, since that thing is so small, the pump would be pretty loud.

I just want it for true 4k on my home TV.

Totally agree, the PS4 Pro is weaker, it looks like crap (the designers must be blind), the controller is horrible in the hands and the battery lasts less than an average gaming session, but...
It has the games, at the end of the day that is what matters the most.

Well, not so many games today... but I sure believe that statement will be valid in a year compared to the XB1 series if it keeps going the way it has.

PS: Microsoft give me more games, I want to give you my money!!!

Why did they call it the "Xbox One X" though? Didn't their marketing team ever stop and consider how closely it sounds to "Xbox One S" and that the two could be mistaken? Try saying "Xbox One S" and "Xbox One X" out loud right now. That's going to be so damn confusing.

I guess we can make proper assumptions as to how many and what games there will be in a few days at Nitendo's "Big E3"....
Yes, what I hope from Nintendo's big E3 is that they don't pull another of those "look sarkwalvein, you are dumb and bought a console yet again for Xenoblade, here are we yet again to fuck you and delay it to 2018 (ps: and then to 2019)"
