Xbox Apps 'Facebook and Twitter' to be removed?

Before we get into a IE bonfire, do realize that current mobile web browsers are current shit and getting a straight Internet Explorer port would be leagues better than any mobile/"lite" web browser.

But a straight port of Chrome would kill the port of IE.

In what sense? IE9 is actually a pretty good web browser, it's just that people tend to shy away from it due to various reasons. My reason being that it does not have the noscript and Adblock Plus plugins that I've come to like.

Well like you said no adblocking which makes web browsing shit also I found it to be slower than Chrome and not as lightweight. Not saying its a bad browser but if I had a choice between Chrome and IE I would take Chrome.

While it might seem a bit dumb to remove the apps, I'm not gonna miss them.
They were big clunky and got in the way of gaming.
I'd rather post to facebook or twitter in the blades menu overlay.
Not that I need to or really want to, or ever would really.
So not gonna miss it.

Most users use their phones for that stuff anyway.

As for the web browser, IE for windows, sucks majorly and is a virus magnet.
IE for Xbox, actually not bad.
It handles HTML5 decently enough and tends to get the job done.
No flash of course but not surprised there.
The controls are a little weird too, but ya not too hard to get used to.

I'd rather be able to use it while playing a game like I do with steam but oh well its actually kinda nice just to have anyway.
Just for the odd chance you need to look up something on your TV.

Not to mention Facebook and Twitter run better in a web browser than in those crappy limited apps anyway, so ya, I don't see the issue.
