Most of the posts I see you make are bashing the 360, or just Microsoft in general.

You'd have to be stupid to really break your Xbox. I've never had RRoD on any of the multiple 360s I've had, and I've never had problems with discs getting the ring scratches on them, because I know how to take care of things. It's not hard to keep your Xbox in a well-ventilated area, and to make sure it doesn't fall off of where it's sitting.

Guild has a Wii (And a 360 obviously), and IIRC, he was considering getting a PS3 as well. I'm pretty sure he's not bashing them for the hell of it, like you, but because the things he is saying are true.

The 360 overheats because Microsoft did a shit job of stopping it from doing so. New models have the same processing power as older ones but simply don't overheat as much (look up Jasper model 360's). Even then the RRoD failure rate is decreased significantly in newer models. If you're going to shit on them for a failure rate in consoles then do the same to Sony and the YLoD. Yeah, the RRoD may never go away. Yeah, Microsoft made a shit job of making a console that doesn't overheat (in my own review of the console I gave it an atrocious hardware rating simply for the overheating problems). But using the same "RRoD rhetoric" and constantly bashing the system without acknowledging it has both pros and cons makes you the fanboy. Hypocrisy thy name is you.

As for me being a "fanboy", I have a Wii that I love. I have a DS that I love more. I have a PSP I enjoy. And I have a 360 I enjoy as much. I don't have a PS3 but hell I'd want one. I'm only defending the 360 because it gets shit talked about it way too much despite having plenty of pros. Yeah, it has plenty of cons too but all the consoles do.

Well the Slim was also half the price of a standard PS3 while this is actually pricier than other Xbox models.

Just bought this console today but haven't got it atm.
I had a 360, 05 model. It died this year from 1RROD.
I had a PS2 before the 360 and that thing died in 2 years.
At this very moment in time, if I didn't own like 20+ xbox games, 2 controls, 2 guitar controls and a drumset for GH, I might have bought the PS3 Slim over the 360 but that's not how it turned out.
I'm not saying the 360 is perfect OR terrible just trying to see both sides.

ON TOPIC: At 'GAME' this morning 360 slim walked out the door. At £200 and no extra items. At 'Argos' which was less than 50feet from the GAME store the 360 slim was selling for £180 and that shit never got touched... So confusing.
P.S 360 slim was JUST released in UK today for anyone in another country not knowing this.

Yeah, but you can buy Arcade models and other versions for cheaper. The current Arcade bundle is I think $150 (USD) and will soon be replaced by a new Xbox $200 model. The PS3 Slim on the other hand was cheaper than all its predecessors.

this is just because the console's cycles are being extended due to a lack of demand for new ones (except for nintendo). It is also because developers are just getting on their stride making good games with good graphics utilizing all of the power out of the consoles. These consoles are upgrades, but you don't need to make them, because, as opposed to PC, all of the first day consoles will still play all of the new games, the only difference is for Kinect and wireless (both of which are possible on the launch model).

Yeh I have a 360 and wii, I can bet if nintendo ever made a console packed with good hardware and motion control,it would sell like hotcakes But tbh I doubt that will ever happen.

The only real corp I will bash is apple because of its fanbase and buisness structure relying on teh "Shiny Shiny" Teenage girls/Boys being conned into buying its overpriced, Crappy, Locked down products.
