Hacking WUP vs CFW

Hi,
After reading a little about WiiU homebrew i concluded that WUP is more than enough for my needs as i only want to play few games and some more for the kids, so i used browserhax to install the games i got from USB Helper using WUP.
But now i have some questions that google did not help much with:
1- regarding DLCs, i am a bit confused about the phrasing in the articles i read, when they say legit DLC, do they mean DLC that i bought from eshop or they mean DLC released by the game developer?!! i know it sound silly but it is confusing for a first timer.
2- when i installed Zelda BotW with WUP, it works fine after it updated, but i wanted to know if i can install the DLC i downloaded with the game from USB helper using WUP or would i need CFW like Haxchi or Mocha for it to work.
3- if i want to install Haxchi or Mocha now after having tons of games installed on the console via WUP, will they be gone and i have to install them again? i mean i do have the files but its a bit time consuming.
4- also if i want to go the haxchi then CBHC route then i need to buy a legit DS game from the eshop, so the question is can i do that or will the console be banned cause i have these WUP installed games
5- this is not so hack related, but when i was playing my original disc of xenoblade chronicles x, i had to install 10GB of free DLC to improve the games performance to load faster, so now since i am having the entire game installed on USB HDD, do you think i still need that DLC?

1. Legit dlc means DLC that you have actually purchased and have a ticket for in the eshop
2. For downloaded DLC you would need to activate a cfw like mocha for example in order to run the game with the DLC
3. Your games installed should not delete
4. You can buy the ds games directly from the eshop app and you should be fine, little warning dont download a ds game and install with wup and try to do haxchi or cbhc on that specific game as that would lead to a brick, a legit ds game from the eshop is safe however
5. Im not sure but I think it would still need it perhaps if its mandatory for the game to run lol only one way to find out and trying it without the DLC

1. I don't understand what you mean. All DLC is released by the game developer and put on eshop is it not? If you have DLC that you didn't buy you need to run CFW to play it.

2. You need CFW for it to work, but you can install it via WUP

3. no

4. there's no banning on Wii U unless you try to mod an online game

5. If you want the improvements that 10 GB supplies then yes

Edit: after re-reading your question #5 if you have the same DLC on your usb hard drive then I guess you wouldn't need it? I don't know if you have the same DLC on both.
