not sure what happened, but dkc returns a couple days ago somehow got corrupted during play. I had just beaten 3-1, and it was showing donkey kong on the screen, but for some reason dk was moving as was the background, but the music stopped and the game wouldn't proceed. I could exit the game, but usb loader gx wouldn't boot up. the activity light on the hdd would just remain lit. I restarted the hdd, usb loader gx loaded up, then I restarted with the hdd on. it worked 'til I tried dkc returns again, then the hdd activity light would be permanently lit, and it wouldn't proceed passed the wii remote screen. yesterday, I deleted dkc returns from the hdd, and put my backup back on. the game worked again, saves were not corrupted, tried another game and neek (both worked). I don't know what happened, but I'm going to thoroughly test it today. I think it's those pos sabrent enclosures that are the problem. I will not buy another one.

I've had problems with these enclosures in the past, but I have the cables to plug one in sitting next to my laptop, and they're powered via a very complicated setup, so I try not to change anything. if I still have problems, I'm just going to use an unpowered drive and unplug the drive if I can.

does the wii u have issues using an unpowered wii u and an unpowered virtual wii drive at the same time? I might move to that to clean up some wires.

I think I've fixed my speakers now. I was playing dkc returns when all this happened, and the speakers kept cutting out and some sound effects caused static. my speakers use speaker wire that you have twist together, then stick in behind these banana plugs. the hole is small too, so it's hard for me to see it, but I did the front left a couple days ago, which was the one causing all the problems.

I've never noticed it with the ps2, which has to go through the surround sound. I have an adapter for hdmi to hdmi+optical. I haven't plugged it in, since I broke the front panel of my entertainment center. that needs to be glued back. I leaned on it, breaking it.

I now weigh 253. I somehow gained weight despite exercising. the chair I sit in to game and use the laptop, when raised, slowly descends due to too much weight. my mother increases its height when she's in my room watching something on the nvidia shield.
