Homebrew Writing my own homebrew

Hi,

I want to start writing my own games etc... but I dont want to use Programmers Notepad - as tried it and kept getting errors about permissions...

Anyway, is there a way of doing the same with Visual Studio 2005? I know theres a template for 2008 (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiWizard) so does anyone have experience with that?

--UPDATE--
I've upgraded to VS2008 and still getting the permission error.

1>make: execvp: /bin/sh: Permission denied
1>make: vfork: Permission denied

Researching it leads to there being spaces in the directory path, but i made sure there wasnt any.
Any ideas about why I cant compile the template? (the template is the same as in the DevKitPro release)
