Hardware Would this be possible?

Let's say you have 2 USB extenders. You cut both of them in half and strip the wires so that, well, that the wires are showing. Would it be possible to connect the part where the cut wire is, re-wire it so that the USB splits into 2?

think of it as if you plugged a xbox controller and a playstation controller in the player one slot on your gamecube...

as long as there are no means to controll what is sent to the computer there will be conflicts, and conflicts means it wont work.
