While updating to the latest update would generally insinuate getting the best possible update for any particular device, let it be known that it is not always the case with 8BitDo, which had a track record of releasing faulty firmware updates to its products, namely the SN30 Pro+.

So, to anyone who currently uses an SN30 Pro 2, how's the latest firmware update doing for you? Should I make the update to it or not?

I upgraded recently and haven’t had any issues. It’s also easy to downgrade at any time with the updater tool, so no harm in trying yourself.

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
