you know what, I can just go to 4.1 USA right? that'd be more for sure, I think I'll just do that unless there is a reason I should not.

better not.. I don't know what'll happen, I'm not really into the changing sysmenu things as I've never used it before like this.

well, then what do you propose? Next time let me know if your wii is stuck on something I am testing so I do not do get in the same problem.

so try to change wii system menu to 4.2 with the WAD Manager 1.5? can anyone confirm that is the right number? why would that be the number? it's a smaller number, wouldn't it be a bigger number?

Use the database feature in NUS Downloader to be sure of which is 4.2u

It's not in the database I have. Mine only goes up to 4.1 I just installed the newest version from wiibrew. is there a way to update my database?

or if it works in your database just tell me what yours says

Sure. There's a link to an updated database in the wiibrew page. Copy-paste all of it into the database.xml file (overwriting what's already there).

Run NUS Downloader. Check the "Pack the wad" option and for title do the following:

Wii System Menu 4.2: 0000000100000002 v481

Put the wads in wad folder on sd

Run wad manager, install sysmenu

I also think the old IOS60 should be restored as this was patched by Preloader?

I booted up Wad Manager 1.4

then I uninstalled IOS70, installed IOS70, uninstalled IOS60, installed IOS60

no difference, without bootmii, my wii gives no video signal to the tv.

Any other advise?

Install IOS60 v6174

ID: 000000010000003C v6174 NOT v6400

Install SystemMenu 4.1U

ID:0000000100000002 v449

and you will be good.

Install a new wad of the proper System Menu, should hopefully do the job.

got the health and safety warning screen, but after I press A it goes to the corruption screen.

do you think my trucha'd IOS36 might have something to do with it?

i think its either IOS 70 or preloader doing that,

the new system menu installation should rule out preloader though.

So, do these instructions work?

Good idea updating both SystemMenu and its respective IOS, however he already has everything v4.2U, not v4.1U, which might be why the corruption screen appeared. I'd suggest installing SystemMenu v4.2U along with its IOS, which is IOS70. Don't ask me for the NUS numbers though, but they might even be somehwere here already.

(We know about SystemMenu v4.2U, which is 0000000100000002 v481 if I'm not mistaken, we only need IOS70's code.)

i think its either IOS 70 or preloader doing that,

the new system menu installation should rule out preloader though.

New sysmenu brings panzer as far as the safety warning screen.
When he presses a he gets the wii files corrupted screen.

Preloader was uninstalled when sysmenu wad was installed.

Only 2 options left:

-IOS70 reinstall
-IOS36 without DOP-IOS trucha

Or anything else some1 can recommend.

no, it's because you installed IOS60 again without the ES_IDentify patch that preloader needs.
Either get HBC launched from preloader, to install preloader again (which will take care of the es_IDentify thing for you)

OR find the IOS60BF.WAD file and install it.

Ok so the current problem for panzeroceanic:

All went ok, until preloader was installed. From that point, sysmenu couldnt be accessed.
Changed wrong IOS to boot as sysmenu like 4-5 times, until he got a black screen, that was it.

Booted HBC trough Bootmii > reinstalled preloader and it was working again.

Tried:

-Install sysmenu 4.2wad
-uninstall/reinstall IOS 60
-uninstall/reinstall IOS 70
-Install sysmenu 4.1wad

Set Sysmenu IOS to 60 and 70 in preloader (before the wads were installed/uninstalled)
As for now he's still stuck with working HBC, Preloader UNINSTALLED, no working sysmenu, working backup launchers and bootmii as boot2.

Any help to restore sysmenu would be appreciated.
