Hello,
bought today a 3ds for my child (6 yo), EU system firmware 4.4.0-10E

Find and old r4 3DS inside box :

Is possible to install Wood and replace 'official' software ?
(or suggest best solution ... )

Thank you,
m.

Sadly replacing the official software with Wood does not allow it to bypass the 3DS blocklist.

Ninja Edit : Looks like there's a firmware update to that which enables to run up 9.0 firmware, why not just update the firmware?

Probably not. You could try YSmenu. It's pretty old now and not very well explained anywhere but I found this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/ysmenu-installation-and-costumization-guide.151078/
You might be able to find a better one.
Most likely though, what comes with the cart is probably newer and better.

Thank you for reply.

I've a Cubic Ninja cart, not update essentially for this reason.

For my kid i think to allow only DS games (from our old DSI he play only 2 games : kirby, scribblenauts).
So I can try all the possibilities offered by Cubic Ninja. I'm not an hard gamer, but love to mod all my devices.
Bought 3ds only for softmod it, i admit :)

2 question left :
- Wood is to be considered dead for 3DS ?
- I want to use Cubic Ninja to enable homebrew; read a lot in these days, can suggest me a good guide for my 4.4.0-10E 3ds ?
(MSET, etc)

Thank you for your time,
m.
