where do I need to put the files of wolf3d? I tried in root:\wolf3d and in the same directory in which is the dol file but nothing happens!!

put the data files in the same directory as the dol
maybe you're using the wrong dol. because of the current design, there is a different dol for the shareware and the full version data files.
