I'm running WinXP Home, and the clock date and time settings keep opening by itself. I can't stop it, tried resetting, and checked on google; No results.

Any ideas?!?

Yeah. I'll type and it'll just show the hourglass, stop everything I'm doing, and pop up. Worst part is, sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Like right now, it was happening 5 mins ago, and now it's good?! Anyway. It's weird.

There's an easy way of doing it, rename timedate.cpl which is probably in the c:\windows\system32 directory to something else like xxx.cpl. If you want to adjust the time/date, you will then have to type xxx.cpl into the start menu => run box.

You could also open the registry editor and do a search for timedate.cpl, so you can see if there are any references to a program causing it to open.
