Hardware Windows wont recognize my wbfs hdd

Win XP x86 wont recognize my 80 GB external hard drive formatted to wbfs but the wii will

help??

You have to use a special utility like WBFS Manager for your machine to "see" the HDD

you need to format the hard drive first with windows then you dump games with the wii

Ive tried that

Since it doesnt recognize the drive, it doesnt assign it a letter therefore even the manager cant find the drive

well i cant format it because windows cant find it

head over to control panel, find administrative tools, and open up Computer Management
look for Disk Management on the left, and see if it comes out there, if it does assign it a letter

only problem is you cant assign a uknown partition a letter

im pretty sure you can, then it allows you to format it.

if that doesnt work, download a partition manager and format it through that

as for the disk management

it doesn't show up there either

Grab a partition manager of the internet and assign the drive a letter with that.
