Windows 7 users, do game icons show in Windows Explorer?

I'm using 64bit Windows 7. I installed the EvoTools-1.0-BETA2.

.sav icons show, but not ds game icons.

^I figured as much, it worked when I was using XP 32bit...

Any Vista or Windows 7 x64 users have the same problem as me?

ya, it seems that the ndsExt.dll is the problem, its 32bit so it won't run or work properly in x64.

I've tried running the installer in compatibility more xp sp2 and sp3, no luck.

I've had to resort to extracting the generic nds file icon (.ico) located in the ndsExt.dll using "IconsExtract", and manually setting the icon for nds files using a free program called "Types".

I had a problem with Vista with the ROM trimmer, when it was enabled icons wouldn't load but when it was disabled icons would load. With Windows 7 and XP though the icons loaded for me with the trimmer enabled. I used 32 bit versions though so it might not work for you.

That pretty much happens with everything...if they have no file extension, there's nothing available to actually open the thing.

Lol, reread my post. I said that it needs a .NDS extension (note the capitals). If my roms have the standard .nds extension, it doesn't show the icons.
You're right, I think I saw "doesn't" twice. I still have no icons, but that's already been confirmed as an issue with EvoTools and 64 bit operating systems.

Have you tried to right click the programe and run as administrator just a thought
Depending on if the computer's shared or not, running as administrator is default.

I think you might just have to wait for updates on the programs that give the icons.

the program has been in "beta" since cyclo ds was released, higly doubt we will get a update.
True, it's always been listed as BETA, though personally I've never noticed any instabilities.
