If the switch 2 uses .xci / .nsp files, I would think it would be possible. I dont see any reason why they would change the file type, and even if they do someone would probably be able to emulate them on switch. I really dont think performance is an issue as with a modded switch you would be able to tweak a lot of things to make it run smooth, so what are your opinions?

Despite mario kart world being an upgraded switch 1 experience and even if its xci and nsp i say no, i dont think so

These games would run very slow on switch 1 even if it were possible

I mean we are able to run full on windows and android on modded switch, and people have been able to tweak settings and do some other things to have games run at a smooth 60FPS, so if we did that to mario kart world (if we can get it on switch) I would think that you can at least get 30 fps

I don't think there's ever been a platform that's been able to emulate a more modern platform that itself emulates that platform you're trying to run it on... Just writing that out makes my head spin.

In short, no. Obviously not lol

I dont see how its obvious. If they run the same type of game file. It might not run as well, but it would work

Who says it's the same file type? Considering the thing isn't out yet I'm betting it's a different container switch 1 will not be able read.

Switch 1 versions of the games are confirmed I believe and best case scenario they could be ripped but why?

they're not gonna be the same, the switch 2 doesn't run original switch games natively, for example, on ps3 and ps4 games use .pkg file type, but they're different

People still may find a way to emulate it on switch. Even if they dont, People will 100% find a way to emulate it on windows, and you can run windows on a modded switch, therefore being able to play switch 2 games on a modded switch one way or another

there is literally zero correlation between these two

also the n Switch can't even run windows, theoretically it may be possible to run win on the switch, but it will probably run like crap

Windows is possible, and so is linux and other OS's
