Hacking Will this R4 work for my 3ds with an update?

I know there are several lists solely for this..but it would help if I knew which one I had

It has never worked on my 3ds, but works on my DSI. It gets as far as Chessmasters Ubisoft or whatever the exploit's name is.

Any help would be appreciated!
