Hacking Will there be a Switch Flashcard?

This thread actually makes me wonder will r4i/acekard always be stuck on 3ds/ds or will they upgrade to switch?

The latest AK2i firmware actually makes it compatible with the Nintendo Switch.
You only need to fit it gently inside the Switch's card slot.
The usage of a rubber hammer is recommended for this, in order to avoid scratching the system.

Come to think of it, has there ever been a cartridge-based console without a flashcart? Except maybe some really obscure retro consoles. Even the Vita had a flashcart, although it wasn't very good and was patched quickly.
It seems like it's a thing that's basically guaranteed to happen as long as companies see profit to be had in it.

it's too early for that atm, people who would work on switch flashcards need to know more about the hardware and the software to produce something like a flashcard that actually boots games.

if there are enough people who re the switch os there might be one in 2 years.

unless someone leaks the sdk+hardware documentation (which will probably never happen)

I would imagine that 3ds or ds emulation would take less time to make on switch than emulating switch games.

There already is (sort of). It's used to play the switch with other controllers (e.g. xbox 360 controllers, ps3 controllers...)
Here's proof, $16.50 is an extremely good price for that thing!

I don't think we'll get a flashcard for the Switch, my guess would be that they target CFW or by some other means loading games through the SD card directly.
But that's just what I think, I have no clue what will happen in the future - maybe a flashcard is much easier to create than a software based hack / loader? Who knows.

I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a flashcard eventually. Nearly every system that has been cartridge based has had a flashcard of some kind pop up over the years.

I never said it could run games. I said that atleast the switch has something, not referring to hacking.
