Hacking Wiiu does not recognize usb format

Hello guys,

I was trying to help a friend with installing some games on the Wiiu with homebrew but when i put the usb on the pc it did not recognize the format.
So i had to format the usb.

After that i tried following the instructions on the thread -> gbatemp.net/threads/wiiu-format-not-opening-in-computer.455666/
I applied all steps but when i put the stick in the wiiu (at the back, bottum one) it still gives me the error that the format of the usb is not recognized.

The stick used to work and initially had games on it. Now i don't have anything left.

why is the stick nog recognized by the wiiu? any help is appreciated!

The USB hard disk (or stick, although not a recommended option) needs to be formatted by the Wii U console. It won't be recognized by a PC or anything else other than the Wii U console it was formatted on. You install the games by putting the installation files on your SD card and installing with something like WUP Installer Y mod. There are stickied guides for all this.
