Hacking WiiSpeak Out

someone needs to dump this i don't want to bitch to nintendo and beg for another code for a product i already bought... :|

If you already have it, do an NAND Dump of the Wii that has it, and then extract/pack the game in WAD form, and maybe you could upload it for the rest of us pirates!

Hey guys, I just realized that I had the WiiSpeak .wad on my SD card, but I forgot it was there. So I didn't install the .wad until about 5 minutes ago. I go to start the channel, and when it takes me to the update page, it says "this software is currently unavailable". Am I too late?

No, you arent, you are early xD The software Wii Speak work on the end of the year! That said Nintendo!

Are you sure? Because this guy said it worked:

QUOTE
I got the channel early last night (first hours of 12/5). The installer channel said the channel is still not available, so I went into the shop, went to the "Titles You've Downloaded" section and there it was, listed as "New!" and "Updated!"

Channel works great, was able to send voice clips to some contacts worldwide.

I went to titles you've downloaded and WiiSpeak Channel isn't there.

Is he full of it or am I right in that I am too late in installing the .wad?
Sorry, I actually bought mine. Didn't think everyone in this thread pirated the installer channel.

i cant dump mine cuz i deleted it from my NAND because i was getting download errors....

then nintendo changed how the shop channel sees if you already downloaded it -.-

Ok so I tried installing it via the shop channel and put my ticket in and it gave me the error 204036 as well.. I bought the damn thing... How are people able to use this?? It still says it's not available.
If anyone gets this dumped right... please PM with some rapidshare or something?! And yes... I still want to be able to swap it back and forth to each Wii... because my kid sometimes comes and plays my Wii and sometimes his in his room. But sometimes he likes to hang out with his cool stepdad to see what new games he has for him to test out! hehe...

Thanks in advance to the NAND dumper that sends me this.

I had an issue getting mine to work last night. Kept telling me that the service wasn't up until the end of the year. You need to turn on wiiconnect24 and then go back into the wii speak channel assistant and an update button will appear. Click said button and wait for it to download.

FYI, the channel sucks.

There is a lobby and a chat area.. yet.. why have a lobby if you can only talk to people you already know.. stupid.

I installed the dumped pre-load channel a while ago and was getting the same error everyone seems to be getting, so I just deleted all traces of Wii Speak I could find and thought to be done with it.

But last night I went to the shop channel and went to my channel history, and there at the bottom was Wii Speak available for download, not the update, but the whole channel since I previously deleted it, so I tried to download it fresh, and it worked! And now I have Wii Speak fully working, but I can 100% confirm that it does not work without the "official" microphone...err...I mean, the "Wii Speak Accesory".

So i finnaly dumped my filesystem and tried to pack the wii speak channel with the wad packing tool mentioned in the last page. The problem is that everytime i try to pack it, it says that i dont have common-key.bin in the wadtools folder. Problem with that is that i DO have it in that folder. Anyone else got a better channel wad packing tool?

make sure that common-key.bin is named exactly that... sometimes it needs to be called common.bin as well... if you want me to pack it up for you, just let me know

Its still wont pack. It says to be named common-key.bin and i tried chaning it to common.bin but the same problem occured. I have it spelled exactly right too. I took the common-key.bin from the U8 tools and what not that i got for packing wads. Do i use a diffrent common-key.bin?

I have figured it out after almost a day!

I have found out this problem only occurred to either Homebrew users, or maybe its a problem with the Shop Channel Fix.

So I went over to my friend who just got Wii Speak and he downloaded the channel with no problems, and we use the same wireless connection. The only difference is he does not have Homebrew on his Wii or the Wii Shop Channel Fix and he is on 3.2 U.

So what I did was format my Wii and it removed all Homebrew and tried to install. And it Worked!!
To test my theory, I formatted my Wii and installed Homebrew Channel and the Shop Channel Fix and it did not work again.

Either Nintendo has found a way to see our hacks on the Wii or we all had this coincidence. Which is probably false.

I will later put back the Homebrew Channel while I have the Wiii Speak Channel and upload the Wii Speak Updated Wad for you all, but give me some time.

I installed the wii speak channel fine and i have homebrew installed. Im dumping wii speak channel as we speak. (lol unintended pun)

Edit: Ill make another post when i have it in wad form and you can pm me for it later.

Are you on 3.4 With Homebrew installed?

Sorox, let me know if that key.bin I sent works... if it does, awesome! If not, then it's a problem with your SD card, like I said... I hope everything is working for ya!

Wait. Youre talking about 3.4? Im using 3.3U. I keep forgetting that some people updated.
P.S. I deleted everything off of the 1st sd card so im redumping. if it doesnt work this time, i have no freakin idea.

just for shits and giggles, try to pack up something OTHER than WiiSpeak, and see if it works then... might have some new encryption!
