I suggested installing a clean IOS58. You will just need to use a different program to do it.
That program being WiiMod. I got ya! I'll give it a shot!

EDIT: Installed fresh IOS58 and re-installed the Homebrew channel.... nothing :( You can see my syscheck below.

Actually, while keeping DVDX installed for older homebrew is okay, the newest versions of homebrew (including WiiMC I'm pretty sure) just ignore it since AHBPROT that HBC 1.0.7 and later gives them kinda replaces that.

Now that I think of it, I think I have a USB-DVD drive at home. I'll have to see if I have some time tonight or this weekend to play around with that and see what I have to do to get that working on my Wii.

I'm in no crazy rush for help or anything. I just cant understand what in the world went wrong. I used to be that person (at least locally) who was always on top of stuff like this :P I'm just stumped...

Do you know what version of WiiMC you're using? Is it auto-updating?

I'm using WiiMC 1.3.1 / running on IOS 58

Please keep in mind that I have this crashing issue in both WiiMC (for Data DVD in the Wii drive and USB-DVD) and MPlayerWii (for Data DVD in Wii drive no USB-DVD in this app)
