Installed a Wiikey into a mates Wii, 2 pads were lifted off the board so had to solder 2 contacts directly to IC Chip.
Everything else seems OK and no wires are lose. All other contacts soldered OK, chipset is GC2-DMS (Very old Wii).
The Wii powers up OK but makes a noise like its trying to eject a disc for 3-5 seconds, then stops. Discs can be inserted but take a little bit more force than normal. Original games seem to work fine but backups don't. The disc spins up but then just stops.
Any ideas?
