Hi WiiPower, yes, priiloader is installed with region hack enabled. It's working now from Disc Channel

Stupid newbie mistake, as all i had to do was set the System menu language to english, doh!

I'm also very surprised, I dind't see this coming

But I'm glad that my chip is still alive, I paid good money back in the day to get a premodded unit after I screwed up the Wiikey installation myself.........
This days the hard mod itself is a little redundant as I mostly use USB loaders, but it's a good thing to have when occasionally I get some games that refuse to load up on usbs but do work if I burn them.
So thanks so much for the update Wiikey Team !
I'm not too sure whether I need to update or no.........I mean is there something specific that this update fixes, or shouldn't I bother to download ( I mean not always the latest updates are the best ones, I remember some updates broke GC compatibility with some games sounds ) ?

I heard that the update discs are GC discs, is that true? If yes, you could try to extract the .dol from the image with gctool and run it as GC homebrew, with NeoGamma GC mode external for example.

Nice, that they cared to update the first Wiikey but I think I won`t update, since I solely use my HDD for playing games... But it is still good to know, that if there is going to be a problem with some games, that there will eventually be a fix.

Well I updated and yes complete excitment and..............!!! does not really do much apart from the BCA protection on NSMB that was cracked months ago on disc channel and 3x thingy that is not much help really. I would of thought a little would have come into the update seen as though there hasn't been one done for about 1 year or so. Why didnt they work on the protection in total for all further releases with the BCA protection. Im a bit let down with this one Wiikey!!! Would of thought better.

all updated here wii still boots up so must have worked. drive is running at 6x now cos it now sounds a lot louder than it used to be

Do you have some gamecube games with audio streaming ? (Starfox for example)
I will not update until I'm sure all is working fine, and anyway I still use usb loader, it's faster and easier.

I would have prefer if the update corrected the 002B error, there are a lot of recent games which can't be run on Wiikey1.

Yes, they are. Or at least the first ones were GC discs, with no doubts. Sadly, I can't do this right now, but I'll do it tomorrow, if no one does it

WOW! I cannot believe this. When I saw the thread I thought it was 2 years old.

I remember writing the Wiikey team a letter a long time ago just telling them that certain fixes should be easy to implement but instead, they just wanted to profit on a new chip.

Even though I have converted to a full USB Loader user, BIG props to the Wiikey team.
