Is there any way to not use vwiinands but nands as the folder for the emunand on a vwii? I have an emunand in a usb drive which is shared with a real wii, and renaming isn't a very comfortable solution.
I could use usbloadergx on the wii and point it to vwiinands, but WFL is my loader of choice, seems the most polished.
no but i will add an option soon (ii hope)

And if a cheat for a game isn't in that zip file. I go here...

https://gamehacking.org/

Download it as Plain Text file.

Then replace the game name with the ID. You can find the ID via https://www.gametdb.com/

Example....

Sonic Gems Collection (Japan).txt

Rename...

G2XJ8P.txt

Then place it in your Wiiflow\codes folder.

Hi, I see on github there is known issue with Wiiflow being unable to access the internet on a vwii if using a usb to ethernet adapter. Just wondering if there's any hope of this being fixed? I'm happy to help with testing if needed.

I'm using The Plugable USB2-E100 adapter which uses the same AX88772 chipset used in the official adapter. Wii u settings says wii u and wii next to the connection, and I've tested that it works in both modes. It seems it only doesn't work with Wiiflow, I guess it's more of a usb issue than adapter issue though.

Hello.:)

Today I tried WiiFlow v5.5.2 on the Wii U / vWii and my WD Elements 2 TB (always working before) is no longer detected by WiiFlow.

- Tried it of course as every Time on the Front and Back USB Ports of course with the Y-Cable as always.
- The Wii U is recognizing the HDD (and wants to format it,as always...:D
- I do not use any Tools like uStealth and that kind !

Any Ideas please ?
Thank you for your Help.:)

Does the older version still work?

Have you made any changes to cios's or cios settings?

Nothing, the only Thing - I have "updated" the two Folders "apps" and "wiiflow" from the downloaded Package from GitHub.

Maybe I should delete everything and make a fresh Install.....?

Ok,the HDD is now recognized in the vWii Mode after deleting the "apps/wiiflow" Folder Content and copied the new Files over.

I do not understand this.....

Plugging the HDD into the Wii - everything is working fine.

Wii Setup:
IOS249[56] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS250[57] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS251[38] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access

Plugging the HDD into the vWii - The Games are start loading, but throwing back into the vWii System Menu Screen....

vWii Setup:
vIOS249[56] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta52-vWii): NAND Zugriff
vIOS250[57] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta52-vWii): NAND Zugriff

Things to try.

1. rename gameconfig2.ini to back it up and have wfl create a new one.
2. delete or rename dev:/wiiflow/cache/lists folder to make wfl create a new one with new lists.
3. go to main settings>startup settings and try changing force cios on or off.
4. select a game and go to game settings and change the IOS to 250 or 251.
5. depending on the region of your console or games you may need to change your video mode per game.

do you use a USB HDD for your wii games or just SD card for wii games?

Had some odd issues today, with latest fresh installed wiiflow lite: Wii sports loads up fine but golf black screens after selecting miis.

The dual release Wii sports + Wii sports resort hangs on Wii remote strap screen on selecting Wii sports.

HOTD Overkill black screens after selecting the first level.

No idea why this is happening.

Does fresh install include a fresh wiiflow_lite.ini?

Yeah I removed everything old, including the covers, because initially I had an issue that when switching sources from GC to Wii the covers said “converting 26/50” or whatever and crashed out before even displaying the Wii games available :(

Oddly using USB loader also yields the exact same results so I wonder if my drive is corrupting things? Though it seems strange just golf doesn’t work in WiiSports lol.

I’ve been using WBFS format game images on a FAT 32 partition in USB1 on original Wii 4.2e for literally years, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the drive…

Thank you.💖👌

I've noticed d2x with base 58 seems to work better for users with hdd issues.
That means:
Your latest Version runs on IOS 249 ? That would explain everything.
I also have USBLoader GX HDD Recognition Issue with the vWii on the Wii U with Loader IOS 249.
