Thanks for explanation, I had no clue about it before.

I did the testing:

- I had sNeek2o installed on SD,
- apps and wiiflow directories were copied from SD root to USB root, plugged in port 0.

I exited to sNeek2o using WiiFlow_Lite, which booted neek2o system menu.
Launching WiiFlow was not successful - I got error code on black screen and then wii froze.
Launching WiiFlow_Lite was semi-successful: WiiFlow_Lite displayed the wiiflow error "Could not locate Wiiflow app directory" on some generic wiiflow background and then I was able to return to Neek system menu.

Have you got the same error code?

Update:
I forgot to mention, that I was using Alternative WiiFlow_Lite channel, posted in this thread. I prefered it back then due to its white colour, as, in my opinion, it represents better the word "lite" in wiiflow_lite app. I can redo the testing with official channel, if it helps, though.
the error is probably due to when you moved the apps folder to USB you forgot to edit wiiflow_lite.ini that has all the dir paths set to SD. you need to change them to USB1.
that channel should be fine.

edit just checked the code. wiiflow lite checks all partitions for the apps/wiiflow_lite directory. apparently it didn't find it on SD or USB. sNeek2o must somehow interfere with reading from SD and USB.

Oh well, it seems that sNeek2o is a buggy mess no one working on. Thanks for trying to fix some of its issues.
I am looking forward to testing ocarina codes in neek mode :)

r1134 is out now. may well be the last. i know i said it before - if i do work on it it won't be very often.

r1134 changes.
neek2o changes:
- re made it possible to use SD emunands with sNeek2o r96.
- added vwii r96 beta 9.6 support. wiiflow lite will now look for vwiikernal.bin and emunands must be in a subfolder of vwiinands on USB only.
- when exiting a emunand game using neek2o if on wii it will use the back2nand channel to return you to wii system menu or if on wiiu it will return you to wiiu system channel because returning to the vwii system menu isn't possible.
- when using wiiflow lite and exit to neek2o it will just launch neek2o system menu. from there you can launch wiiflow or wiiflow lite (if installed on emunand) to use cheats on a emunand game. otherwise cheats do not work when using neek2o to launch a game.

banner changes:
- now when moving from banner to banner the background music will not play and you will not see coverflow (for a second) when using full screen banners.
- now on game selected categories menu the banner will change when you change games using '+' or '-' buttons
- added custom banners for plugin games. no longer using trialer thp videos as banners for plugin games. put your custom banners in the custom banner folder plus the plugin cover folder and name them the same as the rom with extension plus .bnr just like how you do for the covers. to make a plugin game banner i suggest downloading one of abdallahterro's custom gamecube dios mios booter channels and use customizemii to change the images (and sound if you want). make sure the images match exactly the size of the one's already there. when changes are done extract the banner and rename it and put it in the proper folder as previously mentioned.

other changes:
- trialer videos still work even for plugin games. again for plugins rename the thp and ogg file to match the rom plus extension and .thp or .ogg. on game selected screen press '-' to start or quit a trailer video if one is available. pressing 'B' or 'Home' will quit the video and return you to the main screen.
- when flipping a cover none of the buttons are available and the mini banner is not shown until you press 'B' to de flip the cover to normal front view.
- fixed game info menu - in case a custom channel is selected and is not included in gametdb it will display a message 'no game info' instead of random stuff from the last game viewed. tested on wiiflow lite forwarder channel.
- now stopping sounds and music early when exiting wiiflow to prevent music from stuttering when exiting.
- other minor coding changes.

check out the opening post of this thread for a list of all the changes since wiiflow r1076.

@ArgonUK

try this default coverflows - http://www.mediafire.com/file/e6wd9f26slh9c6t/default.ini

i took the coverflows from your vanilla wiiflow and pasted them in the wiiflow lite default.ini

also took all brewflows since the center_scale= was set to smallbox size and pasted them in as _SMALLBOX_1 etc...

in EMUFLOW's theres only one for GBA covers and one for SNES covers so i didn't bother converting them to SHORTFLOW and SIDEFLOW.

Thanks. I had a quick look today and found some of my favorites themes. The first one looked too much zoomed in, I will check again / adjust later.

A quick question: is there limitation haw many flows could be in the .ini file? I wonder if it possible to create a singe themes configuration file, which would contain all the flows, from yours and mine default.ini files.

i don't think there's a limit. just a memory space limit. try it and see. if it works let us know.

Should I just replace the WiiFlow masterpiece pack I have with this?

Or should I just use the WiiFlow masterpiece pack and use the wiiflow lite app instead?

There's no WiiFlow lite masterpiece pack yet...

if you want all the extras of the masterpiece pack (plugins, source menu, etc..) install it first then get and install wfl_as_wiiflow and install it in the apps/wiiflow folder.

after that wiiflow will use wiiflow_lite.ini, categories_lite.ini, and themes in the themes_lite folder

wiiflow.ini will still be there so if you need to you can copy bits of info from it to wiiflow_lite.ini
categories_v4.ini will still be there so if you want you can just rename it to wiiflow_lite.ini. the only difference is how it handles gc disc 2 games for hiding them.
as for themes you should download the wfl carbonik abz theme and default coverflow. put the theme stuff in dev:/wiiflow/themes_lite and the default coverflow in dev:/wiiflow/themes_lite/coverflows. for other themes i recommend editing them yourself. use the wfl carbonik abz theme as a reference.

I see beautiful reflections in the screen shots but i cant seem to get them on my end. I can get the menu title to reflect perfectly (who would want that, lol) but not the game cover

No I mean where's the URL to the place where the custom banners are stored?
ABz's custom banners URL is http://nintendont.gxarena.com/banners/{gameid}.bnr

replace {gameid} with first 3 letters of the game id in uppercase. wiiflow and wiiflow lite will do this for you.

the plugin banners are not made. you will have to make them. I know I doubt anyone will do it. there are so many plugin roms.

Abz's GBATemp thread is https://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-...ection-for-system-menu-backup-loaders.325003/
scroll down till you see - For the rest of the banners check the second post
right under that line are the links to download a dios mios booter channels. doesn't matter which one - you only need one to edit over and over again.

scroll down a little further to find tutorials 6,7, and 8 and a link to post 15. these will help with making your plugin banners.

Hey there, your loader looks nice, I got the latest one, but there is a weird problem. The wiiflow doesn't recognize my external HDD. It does read my sd and all its folders, but it doesn't read anything at all from my HDD, not even the folders.

first - i assume you went to main settings and changed the partitions from SD to USB

also try this - goto main settings and then startup settings. set force cios to on. wiiflow will reboot. now you will have a better chance of it reading your USB HDD

I tried what you told me and it seems that after wii flow logo the loader freezes in a black screen, I been having this same issue with cfg loader and usb loader. Do you think I should format my HDD to WBFS? It's nfts now.

Are you sure you installed a cios?

Yes, I installed the Cios d2x v10 53, after the issues someone suggested to switch to v10 52 since is more stable. Yesterday I formatted my HDD and still the same. Base 56,57,58. Cios 249,250,251. I must say that when I have the hdd unplugged, the loader boots to the menu asking for a Hdd, once I plug it in, it works just fine. This happens with cfg and GX. Wii flow freezes after cios force load reboot which I believe it recognizes it. Why would the vWii freeze when reading my hdd if I have the d2x CIOS?

The drive may just not be compatible.

You mean my external HDD? I would understand if the loader doesn't read the HDD even after the unplug/plug way around, but it works with that trick. Indeed this is so odd. I don't know if the problem is the CIOS or the HDD.
