Good News! Hopefully all continues to work well.

I am not positive which is the culprit but suspect the lists cache is causing memory crash.
I understand the important thing is that it is good now, let your information help others with a similar problem!!! I wonder if this error is on the side of wiiflow lite or rhapsody Shima? and will it be fixed somehow in the next releases? And the issue of codes for VC games will also be fixed somehow so that 100% of VC/wiiware games work with codes

Not sure but can't find an answer on this but can you use real GC Memory Cards with Emulated ones in Wiiflow ? Like use slot 1 for Emu and slot 2 for real memory card or would i have to reboot everytime and change settings for each game ?

when i try to open WFL it sits on a black screen for a few seconds, or a minute, and sends me back to the homebrew channel, is there something i need to fix?
its on Vwii
wii u

U can try other usb loaders, or a fresh install of Wiiflow (which includes not just updating apps on sd/usb but also deleting the Wiiflow save data). Obv make sure you've got the latest versions from oscwii.org.

You can try dif usb or sd, or reformatting them. Make sure usb is plugged into port 1 (since it's a wiiu) and has enough power either from external power or 2 USB ports (again since it's wiiu). Try and avoid small thumb drives, as compatibility varies in general but especially these types. You can improve compatibility with thumb drives by formatting them as wbfs, but then an SD for apps and stuff is required (or dual partition setup on usb).

If it was working for you previously without problems, it could be this: there is a wiiflow configuration file that sometimes gets corrupted and prevents wiiflow from starting. Try deleting the apps/wiiflow/wiiflow_lite.ini file
If this solves it you will have to make the initial settings again when starting.

If, on the other hand, it is the first time you try to start wiiflow, it may be one of the problems that XFlak has indicated to you (cIOS, the SD tab, etc.).

what's XFlak?

what's XFlak?
XFlak is the person you were talking to earlier (the clone trooper) and who has been kindly giving you advice. Additionally, he is one of the people who has contributed the most to the scene of our beloved console. We sincerely owe him a lot

I don't know what the problem is, setting up a new Wii everything running smoothly. For some reason, WiiFlow Lite (2 latest versions) will not allow me to change my Wii/Gamecube game partitions to USB 1/2. It Just says 'SD' 'SD/USB' and is not finding my Wii & Gamecube games or my hard drive at all for that matter. WiiExplorer is picking up my Hard Drive, so is USBLoader GX. Games are working fine. Please can someone help me?

I have triple-checked my cios installs were correct, they are. Why is WiiFlow not picking up my Hardrive Wii/Gamecube games? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I can't find anything on google related to this issue. Most are cios issues, hard drive format etc when this is not the case.

Wiiflow settings are asking where the respective games are located: SD or USB. It sounds like you want to select (something including) USB for that setting.

Most Wii software is designed assuming that the data cable for a USB hard drive is plugged into port 0 (closest to the bottom when the disk drive is horizontal). I think some software can be reconfigured to use the other USB port, but that's not the setting you're looking at that does that.

Additionally, Wiiflow might be more particular about folder structure. I recommend using Wii Backup Manager to transfer Wii games to your USB hard drive, it will handle folders and file naming automatically.

I switched back to WiiFlow Lite version 5.5.3 and all of a sudden it works like it should. Giving me the option to choose USB 1 as an option, locating my Wii & Gamecube games. It seems both 2 newer versions of WiiFlow Lite, don't recognise my USB Hard Drive, it only picks up my SD Card. Very strange.

@fledge68 sorry to ping you, any idea what is causing this problem? I'm honestly baffled, I was looking forward to using your new 2024 version of WF Lite as it seems you've done a lot of fixes since 5.5.3

This is a fresh install of an un-modded Wii. Following this guide

Up to the point of seeing the Wii & Gamecube games in WiiFlow (Following the video), It only gives me the options for the following game partitions.

'SD'
SD/USB'

No USB 1/2, and it doesn't pick up my Hard Drive in WiiFlow on these 2 latest versions, whatsoever. Yet 5.5.3, is fine. Sorry for going on, I just wanted to make it as clear as possible with the issue at hand, in case there's a flaw/bug

I see you say you have triple checked your cios but are you certain you are using the latest version of it?
I only say this as I had a similar issue driving me a bit mad recently. I then realised I was using an older cios install instead of the d2x cios v11 beta 1.

This is the video i followed on my last set up.

Sorry if you have aleady checked this or this has been mentioned already but i thought I had best mention this as everything else worked for me on the old d2x cios except for wiiflow lite in ways similar to your issue.

Yes mate, 1000% I am using that version. I've not slept it's driven me that mad  I followed the guide, but nothing. I followed that exact guide you just posted, but nothing. I then followed a different guide that just had different download locations of the required wads, nothing!

I'm currently just using 5.5.3 as this is having no issues and I simply cannot pursue getting to the bottom of it anymore

Thats sounds like a serious wind up mate. So i've just gone inside my wiiflow and had a look at my settings.
This is how mine are set up

Settings - Game partions

Wii partition - usb1
Game cube partition - usb1
Plugings default partion - SD

Settings - Start up settings

Force load Cios - on
Force cios revision - 250
USB port - 0
Mount SD only - No

Guessing you may have checked these already but again thought I'd share incase by a slim chance it helps as you could maybe have mount SD card only enabled.

I can confirm that the latest version of WFL has serious issues.
