I don't know if it's 10 seconds exactly, it was just a guess.

It's the same time that the loader needs to download a small cheats txt file.

Also, even if the code is added to the official version, it would be easy to validate "if wiinnertag then connect-and-play, else just play".

A friend of mine said that in CFG Loader the update uses about 2 seconds, so, since the code is almost the same, I think that I may have exaggerated a bit

Yeah don´t worry i just tried it and it takes something between 1-2 seconds depending on how fast it can init the network and if the network was init before (if you downloaded a cover or whatever) it´s even faster

Thanks for the support!

I'm not so sure about adding support for Weenertag (
smile.gif
). We never added support for nCard, since we think it's undesirable that the app connects to the internet for just something like this, right before starting a game. Besides that: if we add support for wiinnertag, we should also support nCard.

Also, the 2 or 10 seconds delay depends a lot on your own network. If you have a slow DHCP server, it'll take some time before the network is initialized. It has to wait for an IP address, so there is the bottleneck. With a cheap router, these times can even be longer.

Though I do like the fact that a lot of people are interested in features like this, I prefer the homebrew method of nCard. Unrelated to any loader, and update your card whenever YOU want. Just my 2 cents.

Well, while you sure got a point here about the delay before the game starts, I think that to give the option to user is a win/win situation, as the user is able to enable and disable as wants (based on his actual network/router/etc).

Also, it would be good to support NCard on this too, the code just need to be changed, as CFG Loader did.

The homebrew app idea is interesting, when I have time (or anybody can do it for me
rolleyes.gif
), I'll put my hand on the code to do it.

Speaking of Homebrew... since the newest 1.0.8 update wiiflow can't get a cover for the box. Any ideas what I need to name the cover as?

@r-win

Do you have time to fix the play log bug ? Thanks.

^^

Dude...
Why everytime you stop here and the irc you only talk about the play log bug?!...
Damm...

Lol, I think I will remove the whole playlog thing. By the way, I think the solution is already in the channel.cpp code, but I'm way too busy right now to fix that.

Haha, it's a win/win situation from your point of view. As developer of wiiflow, I doubt that every new feature is a win situation. That was a problem with USB Loader GX, and it will be a problem with Wiiflow if we don't watch ourselves. I'm sure a feature like this isn't a hog, but still. Let me at least think about it

He maens the HBC cover itself, put one in your covers folder as JODI.png and it will work for the new hbc as well.

Allright Daileon, I noticed that the code from your patch (at least I think it was that code) was already implemented in wiiflow. So I removed it, and replaced it's functionality with a generic solution. I also added two default services for this solution, NCard and Wiinnertag. That means that wiiflow does support both from r141 and up.

All you have to do is run wiiflow once, then open up the ini file. Under the category [GAMERCARD] you'll have to enter your key, and enable the service you want to use.

Thanks Wiiflow team and Daileon for tag support.

Daileon, I know its early, but are you planning on adding new tag layouts or giving people the ability to add their own? I know you've done alot of work, I'm just hoping for other, more compact styles.

Thanks again.
