Thanks r-win, with r42 games residing on my NTFS partition launch perfectly. I have noticed a few garbled buttons on the game settings menu but I think that has already been mentioned. Thanks again, Wiiflow is looking great.

I just tried out r42_249 and i am unable to launch a game on my fat partition, they all show up but when i try to launch it it returns to system menu, 222 still works fine though.

using 249 rev19 base 57

Also all games on fat partition are wiiware forwarder IOS's if that makes any difference im not sure

I think you have to change your wiiflow.ini or themes.ini to fix that. I think Benjay mentioned the fix for that a few pages before. You can always try to rename your wiiflow.ini and try again.

Well, let me install rev19 to start with, can you point me to a (list of) forwarder(s) you use? I don't have that much WiiWare stuff, but I can try some forwarders...

OK I got a question. Does the R42(222).dol only work when loading games using ios222? cause I get booted back to wi menu everytime I use any other which really sucks cause I got some games that need ios223.

no it uses IOS222 to load Wiiflow into the Wii.

you can change the IOS settings for each game individually.

general rule:

FAT/NTFS user = IOS222
WBFS user = IOS249

Well its not working for me. I got hermesv5 and loading RB2 from ntfs and it just keep sending me back to the system menu.

Well been out of the net for awhile. Where can I get cios rev 18? and its it stable. Also can you repost r41 for NTSC version/

i noticed that i can play only game.wbfs on my ntfs hard disk, isn't Iso sparse supported in wiiflow r42?

I would be glad to send you my forwarders (or a few of them, i have iso's for all NTSC wiiware/forwarders) You will still need triiforce setup on your USB drive too though, Im not sure if you have all that already, but i could always be your guinea pig tester for it if you like since i have it setup already, Or if theres any specific iso(s) you want me to send you just let me know ill send it ASAP for you

I think you are right. After reloading the cIOS, it should remount the NTFS partition, or it will return to the system menu. Can you try this version instead? It is compiled for ios 222, but you should be able to set the game specific setting to 223, and also be able to reload into it.

Regarding the corrupt covers, (because I'm a lazydog
smile.gif
I put a version of R25 in apps so that I could use that to download covers to usb and keep my main forwarder version for running games at the latest revision.

All was well at first but now a few covers get corrupted when downloading even on r25!. I'm wondering if the the problem wasn't present in much earlier versions but it's only surfacing now either in combination with other changes or cios updates.

I'm sure that version worked flawlessly before I upgraded cios222 and cios249, Ill test going back a few more versions or downgrade cios's to identify where the problem begun if that helps.

EDIT. Nevermind ... I think I made a mistake. sorry.

Is it possibile to have larger spine for Megadrive/genesis VC games? All Megadrive/genesis game have there ID with M***
Same for NES (ID F***), SMS (ID L***).

thanks

I have the same problem as a few others with R42 and the Hermes v5 support. I have my games on a WBFS partition with which ios222 loading works fine, ios223 results in "Disc_SetWBFS failed". The only version I can get to work with v5 is the modified v28 (I think that was the version).

Have an Wii 4.1e and updated to the latest R42 Wiiflow because I want to use the NTFS option, but get "Disc_SetWBFS failed" and can only set WFBS partions in settings, do I need to edit wiiflow.ini or do I need to update the CIOS249 rev. 14?

How do I update the CIOS if thats the issue and where should the games be placed on an NTFS partion? In the root, or an folder, and how can they images be named?
