I've run WiiFlow from my usb drive and it doesn't create the following folders: cache, codes, themes, fanart so I had to create them manually into the Usb apps/wiiflow/ and then I had to edit the wiiflow.ini. Now wiiflow works great but why it doesn't create those folders on the first boot when it creates the wiiflow.ini?
It does auto create those folders, on the same drive as apps, drive:/wiiflow

QUOTEEither your partitions are not done right, or you arent running the right cIOS.
To run fat32 from 249/250, wiiflow must be ran on rev18+ of the cIOS.

well... i used a good partition manager, from outside windows, and i run my wii with the default setup from the guide, so that is 18+ if ya ask me.

and my folders were correct btw, fanart and themes showed and worked just fine.

i guess i go look at my cios install, any recomidations there?

what to use? i can just reinstall it right?

Damian
Yes you may just reinstall them, but make sure they install successfully.

To run fat32 from 249/250, wiiflow must be ran on rev18+ of the cIOS.
To run fat32 from 222/223/224, you must use a cIOS rev 4+ to run wiiflow.

The best way to do this is to install rev19 base38 (so you have rev19 base38 in 250, check with dop-mii after install), run wiiflow 250 version, and install a 249 rev17 WAD to keep triiforce capability.

Silly question but how do I get / create a rev 17 wad?

Cheers.

nusd downloader ofcourse, just make sure to tick the pack to wad checkbox ^^

That doesn't sound right. Why would Nintendo servers have Waninkoko's cios249rev17? You need to install Waninkoko's cios249rev17 (which will automatically install into both the 249 and 250 slot). Then use a program called Blue Dump alpha 3 to copy the 249rev17 out of the 249 slot which then packs it into a wad. Then, install the Waninikoko cios249rev19 with base 38 (which will automatically install into both 249 and 250 slots). Then lastly, use Wad Manager to install the 249rev17 wad you created to put back cios249rev17 back into the 249 slot only which leaves the 250rev19 base 38 alone in its slot.

gah... because wani's prog asks for it ofcourse...

it did for the rev 19 installer

But NUSD downloader's purpose is not to obtain the cios249 rev17 wad which it won't have. You use NUSD downloader to obtain the official IOS38 which is then packed as a wad in order for Waninikoko's installer to use to install the cios249 rev17,18,19,etc.

yes indeed, which was what i meant in the first place

This is a cIOS issue, it seemed to do that to me if I used a cIOS with base57 idk whats going on. Anywaysm run wiiflow on a cIOS with base 38, you need it to use channels and returnto anyway.

That was probably my problem as well, wiiflow 223 and 224 constantly freezed on me also..
I realized it was not only in the update section. I use FAT32 now (just switched from WBFS) and it seems wiiflow doesnt like base 37 either.
If i start wiiflow 223 (with hermes v5 base57) or 224 (with hermes v5 base 37), the screen freezes after about 10-20 sec.

Strange thing is though that i cannot install Hermes v5 to base 38 for 223 or 224.

Edit: did a little reseach on the internet, seems to be indeed something with FAT32 and Hermes cIOS v5, base 37, dont know if it was tested on 57, but wiiflow freezes on this base too.
Seems that people reverting back to v4 didnt have the problem(base 38 merged with 37).

I want only report that wiiflow freeze on base 224 also with hd in wbfs only, and not exclusively with fat32. And the recently updated function of playlog writing from Uloader write only dirty chars in the diary.

Ive installed the carbonk theme, now my settings menu has things i cant see and I cant change the theme bak to original, how can i fix this? Is it as easy as deleting from te theme folder?

def not in the top right, and had you read my post you would see i can find the settings just fine. anyways i solved my problem, after i changed the theme and restarted the settings were readable. when i first changed it, there was text on top of text

Where can i get an Forwarder for Wiiflow 2.1, taking into consideration that my Wiiflow is in the FAT partition of my Usb HDD

yes this is a known issue, but thats also why r93 isnt a release, and it isnt a beta. Just because somehting is committed to google does not mean its finished. Pls dont post info about self compiled dols that arent releases because it just makes wiiflow look bad. New ppl come here and just see problems then.

The problem was that you didnt have the latest version of carbonik. It has been updated and is available in the 2.1a2 packs or on www.wiiflowiki.com
